If We Controlled Your Remote… 7/9/17

Have you ever been at a loss as to what to watch? Too many shows to pick from? We’re here to give you our opinions on what we feel is worth watching. Check it out and then let us know in the comments below what you’re choosing for tonight!

Jenny’s Choice

My pick tonight is the series premiere of The Nineties on CNN. This is a seven-part series that examines the 1990s from a wide range of topics: the presidencies of George H. W. Bush and Bill Clinton; technological triumphs and terrorist tragedies; the grunge revolution and hip-hop’s ascendance; interracial conflict across America; and a genre-bending era of television. It combines archival footage and interviews with journalists, historians, musicians and television stars including Tom Hanks, Kelsey Grammer, Sean Hayes, Arsenio Hall, Darren Star, Alanis Morissette, Questlove, Lance Bass, Christiane Amanpour, Dan Rather, Madeleine Albright, Al Sharpton, and more.

That being said, I probably won’t watch anything more than the premiere tonight, and I’m only watching that because it’s ALL TV ALL THE TIME. Or something like that. LOL I was a teenager during the 90s, graduating in 1995 and then getting married and having a baby later in the decade. So I love all things 80s & 90s. They always bring back a lot of memories, and I know this episode tonight will as well.

On tonight’s 2-hour episode, “The One About TV, Parts I & II,” it’s all about television of the 90s, highlighting shows from Friends and Frasier to Sex and the City and The Sopranos.

See if your favorite 90s show is mentioned tonight on CNN at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Celebrity Family Feud, Guy’s Grocery Games, Food Network Star, Steve Harvey’s Funderdome, Candy Crush, & The $100,000 Pyramid.
