thewalkingdead111smallIt was another amazing episode of The Walking Dead last Sunday, one that kicked off a huge debate as to whether or not one of the series’ original characters is actually dead. The episode gave us the point of view of Rick and his group just after the horn sounded as the Alexandria massacre was taking place. Rick headed off on his own to get the RV so he could try to divert the walkers from Alexandria. This left Glenn and Michonne to lead the rest of the Alexandrians to safety. As he left, Rick warned his friends to not be dragged down by these people and abandon them if they had to in order to survive.

While trying to outrun the walkers, quite a few members of this under-experienced group ended up dead. By the end of the episode, Glenn and Nicholas found themselves in an alleyway full of walkers, standing on top of a dumpster with no way out. Nicholas decided he couldn’t take any more and shot himself in the head, knocking Glenn and himself into the sea of walkers. We then saw Glenn screaming as the walkers seemingly pulled out his guts – or did Nicholas fall on top of him, and they were actually tearing into him instead? (fingers crossed!)

The episode ended with Rick making it to the RV, but he had trouble getting it started. And to make things worse, the Wolves showed up, but he managed to get a gun and spray bullets all along the side of the RV, taking them out. He continued to struggle with the RV, but the gunfire had attracted a large horde of walkers, who were quickly surrounding the vehicle.

Is Glenn really dead? If not, how the heck is he going to get out of the situation he’s in? The same goes for Rick –will Daryl show up to somehow distract the walkers so he can get the RV out of there? And what’s with his hand? It seemed badly injured. Is it infected? Will Rick need to chop off his hand (or more) in order to stay alive? Or is his situation even worse?

It was just announced the other day that The Walking Dead has been picked up for a seventh season – which is a no-brainer (no pun intended) – so fans can relax, knowing there’s a lot more to come.

On tonight’s 90-minute episode, “Here’s Not Here,” a new face appears; trust issues form.

I’ll also be watching/recording Madam Secretary, The Good Wife, Once Upon a Time, Quantico, The Librarians, Talking Dead, The Leftovers, Project Greenlight, and Homeland.

brooklyn991025smallCaptain Holt is back on Brooklyn Nine-Nine. I mean, he was never GONE, but he’s back in charge at the 99. Throughout the episode, the Volture made a rule that the 99 only solved misdemeanors so their solve rate was as high as possible. So when Jake—who kept trying to break the Volture’s rule—came across a new case that he thought was the work of a previous killer, the Oolong Slayer, he connected with Captain Holt and together, they found the killer. Jake told the powers that be that Holt had solved it, and Holt got his job back at the 99. Woohoo!

The other funny story was Terry getting addicted to Boyle’s cacao nibs. Every time he’d solve a case, he’d eat one, but it quickly spiraled out of control and he ballooned up in weight. It was quite amusing to see his addiction. I especially loved his speech about giving up the habit, only to see a bunch of the nibs falling out of his bag. LOL

On tonight’s episode, “Halloween III,” the third installment of Captain Holt and Jake’s Halloween heist culminates with a tie-breaking competition to claim the title of “amazing detective slash genius.” This year, Jake and Holt split the squad into two teams to help them win.

See who wins tonight on FOX at 8:30/7:30c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing The Great British Baking Show, Guy’s Grocery Games, Halloween Wars, CSI: Cyber, & Cutthroat Kitchen.

thewalkingdead1011smallTonight, the original The Walking Dead returns for the start of its sixth season. When we last left off, the folks at Alexandria finally got the wake-up call they needed after Father Gabriel stupidly (and intentionally) left the gates open. There was also a tense moment in the season finale where Nicholas tried to kill Glenn, who somehow miraculously survived. Meanwhile, Morgan showed up in time to save Daryl and Aaron, who had been snared in the Wolves’ trap. Morgan and the others arrived back in town just in time to see Rick execute Pete for killing Deanna’s husband. And Michonne took her sword back down from the wall, realizing that there would be no rest for them.

Why hasn’t anyone killed the annoying Father Gabriel yet?! If he wants to kill himself, he should just go ahead and do it and not make everyone else pay for his own feelings of guilt! How are things at Alexandra going to change with these latest events, and what will Morgan think of the new Rick? And will Rick and his crew be able to whip the folks of Alexandria into shape so they will they be ready when the murderous forehead-carving “Wolves” ultimately find their way to this town?

On tonight’s 90-minute premiere, “First Time Again,” Rick and the group continue to have trouble assimilating into Alexandria; and a new threat could bring them closer together or drive them further apart.

Find out the new threat tonight on AMC at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching/recording Madam Secretary, The Good Wife, Once Upon a Time, Quantico, Bob’s Burgers, The Simpsons, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Family Guy, The Last Man on Earth, Talking Dead, The Leftovers, Project Greenlight, and Homeland.

thewalkingdead329smallTonight, AMC will be airing a special 90-minute season finale of The Walking Dead. In last week’s episode, Glenn and Nicholas each recounted his own version of the events that transpired — Nicholas basically told Deanna that her son’s death was all Glenn’s fault, but it remains to be seen if she saw through these lies. Outside the walls, Carl and Enid had a brief romantic moment in the woods while hiding in a tree as walkers roamed by; Sasha was overwhelmed by her grief over the loss of Noah and headed out to kill some walkers; and Darryl and Aaron came across a tied-up walker with a W carved into her forehead. Meanwhile, back in town, Rick confronted Pete about the domestic abuse, which didn’t go over well — the conversation quickly turned to violence, with bodies flying through glass windows and a fist fight in the middle of town. Michonne was forced to punch Rick out to stop him from killing Pete.

What will be the fallout of this fight in the middle of town? Will Deanna banish Rick — and possibly some/all of his group? Who is carving these Ws into the walkers, and what does it mean? Darryl and Aaron seem to be heading right toward whomever is responsible — will they be friendly, or are Darryl and Aaron in danger? Are we finally going to see Morgan reappear and learn what he’s been up to? (Could that W actually be an M for Morgan?) It should be another exciting episode, and I would wager we are going to lose someone we know and care about tonight and be left with a huge cliffhanger for the next season!

On tonight’s episode, “Conquer,” Daryl experiences trouble on a run. Meanwhile, Rick and his group continue to feel like outsiders in Alexandria, where trouble is creeping in through the gates.

To see who makes it out alive tonight, tune in to AMC at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching/recording Madam Secretary, The Good Wife, Once Upon a Time, The Last Man on Earth, The Talking Dead, The Royals, and Shameless.

thewalkingdead322smallWhat a great episode of The Walking Dead last week! The power grid at Alexandria was having issues, so a team went on a mission to look for replacement parts. While in the warehouse, the group was overrun by walkers—Aiden was impaled and eventually eaten alive; Tara was badly wounded but carried to safety by Eugene (who finally grew a pair); and Noah, Glenn, and Nicholas got stuck in a revolving door—which didn’t end well for Noah, who was gruesomely ripped apart by walkers as Glenn looked on. Before Aiden died, he revealed that the Alexandrians had an “every wounded man left behind” policy.

This policy was also evident at the work site as walkers attacked and a woman fell and hurt her leg. While the rest of the Alexandrians took off, leaving the woman to die, Abraham put his own life on the line to save her. Back in town, Carol realized that Pete was being abusive to Jessie (and possibly her cookie buddy Sam as well) and told Rick that Pete needed to die. And finally, Father Gabriel went to Deanna’s house to tell her Rick’s group can’t be trusted—but Maggie overheard the whole conversation.

Does Deanna believe Gabriel’s story, or will she chalk it up to crazy ramblings? Once Maggie relays this to the others, what will Rick do? I really hope Father Gabriel meets the walkers soon—his own self-loathing and guilt is now affecting Rick and the gang! Also, how is Rick going to handle this Pete thing? Deanna is already a bit wary of giving so much leadership control over to Rick’s group, and if he does something without consulting her, it’s only going to make things worse. Plus, with her son killed in the warehouse run, is she now going to suspect something nefarious happened instead of the truth, that it was just an accident?

On tonight’s episode, “Try,” Rick and the group face setbacks as existence within the walls starts to mimic life outside.

To see what Rick and the group face tonight, tune in to AMC at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching/recording Madam Secretary, The Good Wife, Battle Creek, Once Upon a Time, Bob’s Burgers, The Last Man on Earth, The Royals, Looking, and Shameless.
