Have you ever been at a loss as to what to watch? Too many shows to pick from? We’re here to give you our opinions on what we feel is worth watching. Check it out and then let us know in the comments below what you’re choosing for tonight!

lucifier125smallTonight, FOX kicks off its new crime drama with a devilish twist, Lucifer. Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Eliis, Rush, Merlin) is bored and tired of running things in Hell, so he decides to retire and live on Earth. He now resides in Los Angeles, where he owns an upscale nightclub called Lux. Lucifer has a unique effect on the people he meets – they suddenly want to tell him their deepest desires and darkest secrets.

A murder outside of the nightclub causes Lucifer to cross paths with Detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German, Chicago Fire). Chloe recently separated from her ex, Dan (Kevin Alejandro, The Returned), and seems to be the only person impervious to Lucifer’s charms. Lucifer is intrigued by this and decides to use his talents to help her solve cases.

Other folks in Lucifer’s “life” include demon best friend/confidant Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt, The Librarians), angel Amenadiel (D.B. Woodside, Suits), who was sent by God to get Lucifer to return to his post in Hell, and therapist Kim Martin (Rachael Harris, Suits).

I enjoyed tonight’s premiere a lot more than I expected to. From the ads, I thought this was going to be some kind of Old Hollywood noir detective show, but that is certainly not the case. Lucifer is charming, and I like how he is completely honest about who he is – even if folks don’t necessarily believe him. It’s not like it is a secret that they are going to constantly keep trying to hide. While the cop/not-a-cop premise is something we have seen many times on TV, this has a bit of a supernatural twist. I like the chemistry between Lucifer and Chloe, and the show has the right balance of drama and humor.

On tonight’s premiere, “Pilot,” Lucifer befriends a troubled pop diva and witnesses her murder, which triggers him to seek revenge on her killer.

Check out the series premiere tonight on FOX at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching/recording Supergirl, Superstore, Telenovela, The X-Files, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Jane the Virgin, and The Magicians.

ncisla125smallI’m still really enjoying each new episode of NCIS: LA, and last week was no exception. From the first moment, with the banter between Sam and Callen about Callen driving himself to work without letting Sam – his carpool ride – know, Callen riding the slide down in the office they were investigating, Deeks and Kensi and their flirting over her math skills, banter between Deeks and Nell when Nell got seasick on the boat, and the dead body also going down the slide. It was a lot of fun, especially for a simple filler episode that doesn’t really move us forward on any bigger issues.

I’m also really looking forward to tonight’s episode. If you haven’t seen the preview or don’t want to be spoiled at all, look away now. LOL Kensi and Deeks announce they’re moving in together, and then Hetty assigns them to work with Kensi’s ex, Jack, to keep him safe because he’s got some important list of contacts? Ahhhh! Say it ain’t so! I have faith that the writers won’t use this to throw a wrench into my Densi, but…still!

On tonight’s episode, “Come Back,” when Kensi and Deeks announce to the team they are moving in together, coincidentally, Hetty assigns them to protection detail for Jack (guest star Matthew Del Negro), Kensi’s ex-fiancé, who is in possession of a list containing important contacts in Afghanistan that people are willing to kill to get their hands on.

Find out if Jack’s return changes things for the lovebirds tonight on CBS at 9:59/8:59c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Kids Baking Championship, Superstore, Cake Wars, Ellen’s Design Challenge, Lucifer, The Magicians, & Scorpion.

themagicians125smallThe Magicians is premiering tonight in its time slot after giving us a sneak peek at the first episode before Christmas, and I am quite excited about it. The sneak peek was great getting to watch Quentin arrive at Brakebills University and learn about his magical talents. Tonight, we’ll get to explore more of the school after we rewatch the first episode to refresh our memories. I’m interested to see how Quentin handles his friend Julia being rejected from the school but even more so when he finds out she’s dabbling in dark magic. Should be a good story line. The show stars Arjun Gupta, Hale Appleman, Jason Ralph, Olivia Taylor Dudley, Stella Maeve, Summer Bishil, and Tembi Locke.

On tonight’s first episode, “Unauthorized Magic,” best friends Quentin and Julia are recruited for an entrance exam to Brakebills University, a secret institution for magical pedagogy.

On the second episode, “The source of Magic,” Quentin faces expulsion for his involvement in an otherworldly attack on Brakebills; Julia delves deeper into underground magic and tries to prove herself to the Hedge Witches.

To take the journey into a magical school which is bound to help you forget your normal life for a little while, tune in to Syfy 9/8c & 10:10/9:10c.

I’ll also be watching NCIS: LA, Scorpion, Superstore, Kids Baking Championship, Supergirl, Lucifier, and The X-Files.
