Tonight, NBC is airing a special preview of the new game show The Wall, from executive producer LeBron James. The series is hosted by actor/comedian Chris Hardwick (Talking Dead, @midnight), and each week he offers pairs of contestants the chance to take home over $12 million dollars in cash and prizes! All that stands between these pairs of contestants and the life-altering prizes is a massive four-story wall. As the contestants get answers correct, green balls fall from the giant Plinko-like wall, and the dollar amounts listed in the slots the balls land in get added to the contestants’ total. However, as they get questions wrong, red balls fall into amounts that are deducted from their potential winnings. As the game progresses, things get even more exciting as the contestants are no longer able to communicate with their partners and their faith in one another is put to the test. Not only do the contestants need the skill to answer the questions correctly, but they also need a bit of luck, hoping the balls falling from atop the wall bounce into the right slots.

It seems like the show is really going to push the emotional stories of the contestants and the way their lives are going to be changed by the money they could win. I really enjoy Chris Hardwick’s podcast and other hosting duties, and I think he will add a lot of humor and fun to this show. I look forward to checking out tonight’s special preview.

On tonight’s premiere, “John and Angel,” two-person teams answer questions for cash and prizes.

Check out the fun new game show tonight on NBC at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching/recording Man With a Plan, The Wall, and People of Earth.

Tonight is the fall finale of 2 Broke Girls, and it promises to be a lot of fun. Last week, the group dealt with the effects of a hurricane, which trapped Max, Caroline, Han, Oleg, and the latest clients (a couple throwing a divorce party) from the dessert bar. They all holed up in the walk-in when it started getting really bad out. That led to an accidental touching of Han by Caroline (which led to Han feeling like they were a couple. LOL), but it also meant the divorcing couple got back together, losing the client for the dessert bar. The funniest story line for me was Oleg freaking out because Sophie was stuck at home with the baby and her hot new manny. Apparently Sophie was turned on by the storm. So Oleg tried to go out into the storm to get home, but it didn’t work. Fortunately (& obviously), Sophie showed up at the diner and they went home after together.

And finally, Max was having a problem accepting that she and Randy really had broken up, that they weren’t just doing their little relationship dance. She kept expecting him to show up, even in the middle of the storm, but she was really disappointed when she realized he was still in California. Which leads up to this week’s fall finale… Max is going to California to try to win back her man. Will she succeed? Will she and Caroline actually make it to California??

On tonight’s episode, “And the Planes, Fingers and Automobiles,” when Max decides to head to Los Angeles to win back Randy, she and Caroline embark on a cross-country road trip with Han at the wheel. Also, while Han and the girls are away, Oleg takes charge of the diner, and Sophie fills in as a waitress.

To see if Max can win back Randy, tune in to CBS at a special time of 9:30/8:30c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Cake Wars, Man With a Plan, Scorpion, & The Wall.
