Kyle and I differ on when Netflix (as well as Amazon & Hulu) shows should be posted. For me, I’m recommending this one tonight because it premieres in the late hours of the night tonight/wee hours of the morning. That way you can watch it first thing when you wake up (or at 3AM if you can’t sleep! LOL).
On that note, my first pick is Friends from College, which premieres the entire first season on Netflix. Keegan-Michael Key (Playing House, Key & Peele), Cobie Smulders (How I Met Your Mother), Annie Parisse (The Following, Law & Order), Nat Faxon (Ben & Kate, Married), Fred Savage (The Grinder), & Jae Suh Park star as a group of friends from Harvard who are about to turn forty years old. They must balance old friendships, former romantic entanglements, and balancing adult life with nostalgia for the past.
With Facebook bringing high school and college friends back together, I think this show is very timely. I think a lot of people will be able to relate, and with such a great cast, I have high hopes that it’ll be a lot of fun to watch for everyone.
Check out the entire first season on Netflix tonight/Friday morning at 3:01AM/2:01AMc.

Tonight, The CW kicks off the fun new action/adventure series Hooten & the Lady. British Museum curator Lady Alexandra Lindo-Parker (Ophelia Lovibond, Elementary) is tired of being stuck behind a desk. She wants to go out into the world and track down priceless artifacts to bring back to increase the museum’s status and importance. So she heads off to the Amazon to search for the lost camp of explorer Percy Fawcett. While on her quest she crosses paths with a rogue American adventurer named Ulysses Hooten (Michael Landes, Special Unit 2, Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman). The two couldn’t be any more different: he’s a crude treasure hunter who’ll do anything to make a quick buck, while she’s a prim, proper lady who seeks out artifacts for their historical and sociological importance, to share with the world. However, this mismatched couple soon find their lives dependent on one another and must work together to survive the jungle and find their treasure.
The series is like a weekly Jewel of the Nile/Romancing the Stone type of adventure. While there’s this undeniable love/hate chemistry between Hooten and Lady Alex, she’s engaged to another, so nothing could happen between them…right? Each week of this 8-episode series, the pair will head off to a different picturesque locale in search of some new treasure and encounter some new danger. The series also stars Jessica Hynes (Twenty Twelve), Shaun Parkes (The River), Jonathan Bailey (Broadchurch), and Jane Seymour.
I thoroughly enjoyed tonight’s premiere. It’s a fun action/adventure show with a lot of humor that you can just sit back and enjoy the ride. It should make a great summer series, and I look forward to seeing what other adventures await this duo. Plus, for the shippers, there’s always that will they or won’t they that’s looming.
On tonight’s premiere, “The Amazon,” maverick adventurer Hooten and a fearless historical expert named Lady Alexandra go on a global mission to find legendary artifacts.
Find out if this new show’s for you tonight on The CW at 9/8c.
I’ll also be watching/recording Battle of the Network Stars, The Gong Show, Big Brother, Zoo, The Mist, and Queen of the South.

Tonight is the summer return of Impractical Jokers on TruTV. I love these guys. It’s like the world’s best hidden camera prank show but with guys who have been friends for so long that they are almost one person. I’m so envious of the friendships they have with each other, and that just makes it that much more fun to watch.
On tonight’s 1-hour episode, “Paradise Lost,†Sal, Murr, Joe, and Q say “aloha” in a fun Hawaiian episode! The future looks hazy when the guys pose as fortune tellers and practice indecent proposals at a romantic waterfall. Plus, it’s blood in the water for tonight’s big loser.
Catch all the fun and find out who loses tonight on TruTV at 10/9c.
I’ll also be watching/DVRing Penn & Teller: Fool Us, Love Connection, Beat Bobby Flay, & The Gong Show.

The Night Shift has been a pleasant surprise for me this season because I was starting to lose interest towards the end of last season. The season premiere caught my attention from the first moment, and it hasn’t stopped.
The story lines surrounding TC being in Syria have been incredible, and I love seeing him in his element. Speaking of elements, Jordan has really been doing amazing running the ER, and I think it’s going to make a big difference to the staff behaviour to have her strong leadership.
On tonight’s episode, “Control,” a patient from a distance town arrives for surgery. Meanwhile, Jordan gets creative to help a veteran in need; Drew struggles with being a working parent; Kenny learns to not worry about trivial matters; and TC joins in a daring rescue mission in Syria.
To find out what craziness TC has gotten himself into now, tune in to NBC at 10/9c.
I’ll also be watching The Wall, Beat Shazam, and Love Connection.
