It’s an opportunity of a lifetime for these shark enthusiasts with non-traditional backgrounds to leap ahead in the competitive world of shark research, embarking on the adventure of a lifetime in hopes of making their dreams a reality.

Tonight is the 90-minute series premiere of Battle on the Beach on HGTV at 9/8c. HGTV’s newest competition series will feature network stars Taniya Nayak (Restaurant Impossible), Ty Pennington (Rock the Block, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition), and Alison Victoria (Windy City Rehab) as they each mentor three teams of up-and-coming flippers while they renovate identical beachfront properties. The mentors will put their reputations on the line each week while star judges Mike Holmes (Holmes + Holmes) and Mina Starsiak Hawk (Good Bones) will choose which team wins the featured weekly challenge. The team who adds the most value to their home will walk away with a $50,000 grand prize to use towards their next flip, and their mentor will have ultimate bragging rights.

Tonight is the series premiere of History of the Sitcom on CNN at 9/8c followed by a second new epsiode at 10/9c. History of the Sitcom reunites audiences with the television friends, families, and co-workers they grew up with while introducing cutting-edge comedies that are sure to be your next binge-watch. The eight-part docuseries produced by Cream Productions features over 180 original interviews with sitcom icons including Norman Lear, Tina Fey, Tracy Morgan, Lisa Kudrow, Jason Alexander, Kelsey Grammer, Kim Fields, Tim Allen, Carl Reiner, Dick Van Dyke, George Lopez, Mel Brooks, Isabella Gomez, Ted Danson, Joey Soloway, Jimmie Walker, Judd Apatow, Dan Levy, Zooey Deschanel, Chuck Lorre, Mara Brock Akil, Helen Hunt and many more, breaking down how sitcoms have helped generations of Americans navigate an ever-shifting cultural landscape.

Tonight is the series premiere of The White Lotus on HBO at 9/8c. The six-episode limited series is a social satire set at an exclusive Hawaiian resort. Starring Murray Bartlett (Looking), Connie Britton (Nashville), Jennifer Coolidge (2 Broke Girls), Alexandra Daddario (True Detective), Fred Hechinger (Eighth Grade), Jake Lacy (Girls), Brittany O’Grady (Little Voice), Natasha Rothwell (Insecure), Sydney Sweeney (Euphoria), and Steve Zahn (Treme), the series follows the vacations of various hotel guests over the span of a week as they relax and rejuvenate in paradise. But with each passing day, a darker complexity emerges in these picture-perfect travelers, the hotel’s cheerful employees and the idyllic locale itself.

Tonight is the series premiere of Wellington Paranormal on The CW at 9/8c, followed by a second new episode at 9:30/8:30c. Follows a group of police investigators as they track supernatural events in New Zealand; the crew look into cases of demon possession, haunted houses, and blood bank robberies. This originally aired in New Zealand and is now making its US premiere.

Finally, tonight is the series premiere of Professor T on PBS at 10/9c. The impeccably dressed meticulously punctual Professor T lectures daily at the Cambridge Institute of Criminology, teaching students imaginatively, if pedantically, about the science of crime. And each evening, he returns home to his apartment, which is as sterile and systematically organized as a science lab. Thanks to this strictly regimented approach, his OCD and germaphobia are under control. But his buttoned-up world is slowly undone when he is persuaded by one of his former students, Detective Sergeant Lisa Donckers, to assist her in investigating a serial rapist. The Professor’s encyclopedic knowledge of criminal psychology and his brilliant mind prove invaluable to the team, but the cracks in his carefully constructed, emotionless exterior begin to show. Working with the police – and the fiery, instinctive Lisa, in particular – drags Professor T far from his comfort zone and even forces him to confront his suppressed feelings for an old flame. He also finds it increasingly difficult to escape the influence of his imperious mother (Frances de la Tour), with whom he shares a harrowing family secret that has cast a long shadow over both their lives.

Overnight was the series premiere of Catch and Kill: The Podcast Tapes on HBO at 9/8c, followed by a 2nd new episode at 9:30/8:30c. This six-part, half-hour documentary series brings to life Ronan Farrow’s intimate, revealing interviews with whistleblowers, journalists, private investigators and other sources, conducted for the Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist’s podcast and best-selling book, Catch and Kill: Lies, Spies and A Conspiracy to Protect Predators. The series expands on the podcast and book with never-before-seen footage and new insights into this culture-shaking story. Interviews are interwoven with additional sound and imagery from documents, audio tapes, photos, archive footage and illustrations. With fresh perspectives and detail — not just on the harrowing effort to expose one powerful predator, but on the systems that help cover up terrible crimes to this day — the series presents new revelations in the reporting on one of Hollywood’s most ungettable stories.

Overnight was the complete first season premiere of Eden on Spectrum. The show transports viewers to an Eden of dazzling Australian beaches and lush forests, but all is not as it seems. A young woman’s secrets threaten to expose the darkness lurking just beneath the idyllic surface. As each episode unfolds from a different character’s perspective, the series explores a multi-generational tale of events that happen before, during and after a young woman goes missing one warm, summer night. The small beach community’s long buried dark secrets of love, lust, dashed dreams and power struggles are dragged wide open as the truth is revealed — a truth that will shake the town and the people (who survive) forever. It stars BeBe Bettencourt, Christopher James Baker, Cody Fern, Keiynan Lonsdale, Leeanna Walsman, Maggie Kirkpatrick, Rachael Blake, Samuel Johnson, Simon Lyndon & Sophie Wilde.

Tonight is the AMC series premiere of The Beast Must Die at 10/9c. The series previously premiered on AMC+. After learning the police investigation into the fatal hit and run of her young son Martie has been dropped, Frances Cairnes (Cush Jumbo, The Good Wife, The Good Fight) takes matters into her own hands. Posing as a novelist researching a new murder-mystery, Frances ingratiates herself with the family of George Rattery (Jared Harris, Chernobyl, Mad Men), the man she suspects is responsible, and sets a plan in action to kill him. She’s tracked by detective Nigel Strangeways (Billy Howle, The Serpeant, MotherFatherSon), who has reason to believe his department covered up George’s involvement in the incident. Suffering from PTSD following the recent death of his partner, Strangeways throws himself into pursuing justice for Martie. But when he discovers an “undercover” Frances living with George and his family, Strangeways finds himself working to both prove George’s guilt and head off Frances’s plans for revenge before anyone else dies.

Tonight is the series premiere of Shark Attack Files on NGC at 9/8c. This action-packed series is an investigation into bizarre and fascinating shark behavior. Featuring footage from actual attacks, interactions and behavior captured by both professionals and observant bystanders, every twist and turn leaves viewers sitting on the edge of their seats. Scientific experts and investigators dive deeper into the mystery of these unexplained behaviors and come to a stunning revelation that ties these extraordinary events together.

But the ferocity of the elements is matched by the violence of his crew mates, particularly Henry Drax (Farrell), a harpooner and distinctly brutal force of nature.
