Tonight is the series premiere of Killer Relationship with Faith Jenkins on Oxygen at 7/6c. The series investigates burgeoning romances from their sweet beginnings and follows what happened all the way through to their bitter endings. With her background as a criminal prosecutor in the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, and with her expertise in matters of the heart, Faith Jenkins gives her professional POV of the nightmarish cases. With first-hand accounts from victims’ family, friends and law enforcement, each hour-long episode reveals the inner workings of intimate attachments that seemed fated to last forever and ended in murder.

Tonight is the series premiere of The Real Murders of Atlanta on Oxygen at 8/7c. Told by the investigators, witnesses, reporters and loved ones who have direct connections to the cases, each hour-long story brings Atlanta’s hustle and deadly decadence into sharp focus. It’s the dark side of the New South, where deadly battles for status and affluence emerge between those who are willing to kill for the good life and those willing to kill to keep it.

Narrated by Jessica Chastain, the series features a star-studded cast of female voices and is made by an all-female editorial team. Over four episodes it re-examines Monroe’s story to uncover themes of feminism, sexuality and power that continue to drive the cultural conversation today.

Tonight is the series premiere of Somebody Somewhere on HBO at 10:35/9:35c. Starring and executive produced by comedian and singer Bridget Everett, the series follows Sam (played by Everett), a true Kansan on the surface, but, beneath it all, struggling to fit the hometown mold. Grappling with loss and acceptance, singing is Sam’s saving grace and leads her on a journey to discover herself and a community of outsiders who don’t fit in but don’t give up, showing that finding your people, and finding your voice, is possible.

Overnight was the documentary film The Marfa Tapes on Paramount+. It offers a rare glimpse inside the making of the Grammy(R) Award-Nominated album of the same name. Directed by Spencer Peeples and featuring live performances set against the backdrop of West Texas, The Marfa Tapes also features candid interviews and behind-the-scenes footage captured during a five-day album recording session in November 2020. Barely a dot on the map, Marfa is an eccentric outpost in the midst of a vast expanse of nothingness, the perfect place to lose – or find – yourself. For Lambert, Randall and Ingram, it’s both. For more than half a decade, the desolate location has become a songwriting haven for the trio, yielding both massive hits and profound personal growth. Recorded raw and loose with just a pair of microphones and acoustic guitars, The Marfa Tapes is a stunning work of audio verité, an intimate, unadorned snapshot of a moment in time fueled by love, trust and friendship. The trio recorded much of the album outdoors, inviting the ambient sounds of the desert to seep into their live, bare-bones performances, and the atmosphere is utterly transportive. The result is a candid, unvarnished look at Lambert, Randall and Ingrams’s undeniable chemistry in its purest, most honest form.

Overnight was the feature film The Royal Treatment on Netflix. New York hairdresser Izzy seizes the chance to work at the wedding of a charming prince, but when sparks between them fly, will love – or duty – prevail?

In the next installment of the Unraveled anthology, Billy Jensen and Alexis Linkletter speak to law enforcement, family members and Bob Ward himself, to get to the bottom of Diane Ward’s mysterious death.

It stars George MacKay, Jannis Niewohner, Jeremy Irons, Robert Bathurst, Jessica Brown Findlay, August Diehl, Sandra Huller, Alex Jennings, Ulrich Matthes, & Liv Lisa Fries.

Overnight was the premiere of the documentary film Picabo on Peacock. From co-directors and executive producers Frank Marshall and Lindsey Vonn comes Picabo, the first career-spanning film chronicling the life of Picabo Street, the alpine skiing icon of the 1990s and Vonn’s childhood hero. From her unorthodox childhood in Idaho to her Olympic successes, dramatic recoveries from ill-timed injuries and her arrest in 2015 due to false abuse allegations, the film provides an intimate look at Street’s fascinating life through an emotional interview with Vonn and behind-the-scenes footage of Street’s life.

What’s with 1883 only being on Paramount+? They tease us for three episodes, then what? I am NOT going to subscribe to another streaming service, are you?

  2. Awesome says:

There was a new 90 single life 🤷🏼‍♀️

    • Jenny says:

Sorry! My source didn’t list it when I wrote up this week’s column. 🙁 Streaming schedules are extremely hard to follow for me.
