Tonight is the series premiere of The Idol on HBO at 9/8c. After a nervous breakdown derailed Jocelyn’s (Lily-Rose Depp) last tour, she’s determined to claim her rightful status as the greatest and sexiest pop star in America. Her passions are reignited by Tedros (Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye), a nightclub impresario with a sordid past. Tonight is the series premiere of The Lazarus Project on TNT at 9/8c. This is a riveting eight-hour drama that follows George, the latest recruit to The Lazarus Project — a secret organization that has harnessed the ability to turn back time whenever the world is at the threat of extinction. George and his colleagues are the few people on Earth with the ability to remember the events that are undone when time goes back. But when a freak accident harms someone close to George, Lazarus won’t let him turn back time to undo it unless there is the threat of global extinction. Overnight was the complete first season premiere of Lost: Those Who Kill on Acorn TV. Criminal profiler Louise Bergstein is on edge after her most recent case, battling debilitating insomnia when a Copenhagen couple is brutally murdered outside their home. Determined to track down the killer, she teams up with police investigator Frederik Havgaard. All evidence points to a young man called Bjørn with a dark and desperate past, and when Bjørn’s sister’s baby is abducted and Bjørn is found dead, the case is closed and Louise leaves the city for a fresh start in Jutland. Three years later, she’s dragged back onto the case when a new suspect is linked to the killings, reawakening the dreadful truth and traumas of the past.
 
Tonight is the series premiere of Stars on Mars on FOX at 8/7c. Hollywood, we have a problem! This out-of-this-world new unscripted series, in which household names trade in their possessions, status, and glamourous lifestyles on Earth for an insane and hilarious summer on “Mars.” Their mission? To be suited up with no space to go, as they colonize, compete, and conquer their new galaxy surroundings, until there is just one “celebronaut” left standing. Overnight was the 4-episode series premiere of Destination: European Nights on Paramount+. Overnight was the complete first season premiere of Tour de France: Unchained on Netflix. Captivating and dramatic, through tears and triumph, this docuseries follows seven teams of cyclists as they compete in the 2022 installment of the world’s most grueling bike race.

Tonight is the TV movie Mary J. Blige’s Real Love on Lifetime at 8/7c. The “Queen of Hip Hop Soul,” will be the queen of this summer with two new original movies inspired by Mary J. Blige’s biggest hits — Mary J. Blige’s Real Love and Mary J. Blige’s Strength of a Woman, set to premiere on back-to-back Saturdays. The two-pack of movies are headlined by Ajiona Alexus (Empire, 13 Reasons Why) and Da’Vinchi (BMF, All American) with Princess Davis, Austin Anozie, Millan Tesfazgi, Shiraine Haas, Garfield Wilson and Hamza Fouad rounding out the cast and portrays the highs and lows of young Black love. Mary J. Blige’s Real Love follows 18-year-old Kendra (Alexus) as she sets off on her own for the first time at an HBCU in North Carolina. Attending on a scholarship, Kendra is determined to focus on school while balancing work study and keeping things professional with Ben (Da’Vinchi), her photo class partner. Despite disapproving parents, financial hardship, and even an unexpected pregnancy, Kendra and Ben find themselves falling hard for each other and ultimately learning the meaning of “Real Love.” Even when Kendra realizes that in order to pursue her dreams, she must leave Ben behind, it’s certain that their story isn’t over…
