Overnight was the series premiere of The Vampire Lestat on AMC+. This is technically the third season of Anne Rice’s Interview with a Vampire, but it’s rebranded in this new series name. Feeling betrayed by the unfavorable portrayal in Daniel Molloy’s book and Louis’s interviews, Lestat decides to rewrite his own narrative by becoming a 265-year-old bloodsucking rock star and embarking on a massive North American tour. The Vampire Lestat goes on tour while being haunted by “muses” from his past. As the band’s popularity grows, so does Lestat’s influence over vampires & humans alike, leaving others to contend with Lestat’s power in the face of the Great Conversion. The series also airs tonight on AMC at 9/8c with a 144-minute premiere.
