blindspot229smallWe haven’t had a new episode of Blindspot since this time in NOVEMBER! Crazy that it’s been just over three months. So here’s a hopefully quick recap of where we left off. Patterson’s (ex-)boyfriend David was killed after following a woman he saw look at and do something with the book he and Patterson had found in the library. That woman turned out to be a sleeper agent – a Russian spy who’d lived quietly as an American for years until she was called up, who was able to surprise him and kill him, despite the man following David (who turned out to be an agent assigned by Mayfair to keep him safe). There were two other Russian sleeper agents. Ultimately, the team was able to take them down, including the woman who’d killed David. Jane then sneaked out of her safe house and went to Weller’s place, where she proclaimed she wanted a time that was just them, and then they kissed. And all the shippers cheered until his nephew interrupted them. Damn kids! LOL

Then Jane left to walk home, but she was kidnapped…by Carter’s team, we realized when she woke up to find herself tied down in a basement somewhere. He started torturing her by pouring water over her face and asking her who she is and what she knows about Project Daylight. She swore she didn’t know and finally asked him about Orion, which infuriated him even further. He picked up a drill, but before he could harm her further, the guy with the tree tattoo from Jane’s flashback memories swooped in and killed him. Then he showed Jane a video on his phone of her, before the tattoos and the FBI, saying to trust Oscar and that…dun, dun, dun…it was ALL her idea! Meanwhile, Zapata decided she was done playing ball with Carter, and rather than putting the bug in Jane’s place, she decided she would resign from the FBI.

Okay, so a lot of people kind of guessed that Jane had done it to herself. Now we know for certain that she did. What does that mean going forward? Why did she do it? Was she a good guy then too, or was she a bad guy and has she changed now that her memories were wiped? Is Carter really dead, or did he somehow survive three bullets to the chest? Did Zapata already turn in her resignation, or did Carter’s death save her career? And what about Jane & Weller? Did the kiss – or Jane’s new knowledge of her past – change things? I’ve seen tonight’s episode, and we will get answers to some of those things but not all! I have a feeling some of it will play out the rest of the season, if not series!

On tonight’s episode, “Cease Forcing Enemy,” Jane reels from a series of massive revelations about her tattoos and grapples with whether to trust Oscar (guest star Francois Arnaud). Meanwhile, a tattoo leads the team to a shocking discovery in the Black Sea.

See what the team discovers in the Black Sea tonight on NBC at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Cake Wars, Lucifer, Major Crimes, Scorpion, NCIS: LA, & Castle.

sleepyhollow226smallSleepy Hollow has come back from hiatus and hit the ground running with a solid story that is continuing at a steady pace while still keeping us entertained with a weekly bad guy to watch our favorite witnesses fight.

On last week’s episode the Kindred returned and brought murder with him, but it would appear he is killing couples out of jealousy of their love. The creepy guy is lonely and looking for love… Wonder if Craigslist has a column for supernatural beings looking for their mate? Probably not, but that’s okay because apparently Ben Franklin anticipated this humanely need and made a bride for the Kindred that was stored centuries ago. Thanks to Ichabod and the team, they managed to bring her to life and stop the Kindred from murdering any more. It was a strange episode, but I will say that I’m enjoying the small moments of bonding that Crane and Abbie had this episode, and I’m hopeful we may finally be moving in a romantic direction for these two.

On tonight’s episode, “Sins of the Father,” when Jenny makes the decision to confront her father, family turmoil from the past rises to the surface. Meanwhile, Atticus Nevins returns to town, bringing more danger than the FBI could have imagined.

Find out how this family reunion goes tonight on FOX at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching Blue Bloods, Hawaii Five-0, and The Amazing Race.

fullerhousesmallI’m so excited because late tonight/early tomorrow morning, Netflix is putting out the entire first season of Fuller House, the continuation of the hit show that began in 1987, Full House. The original focused on Danny Tanner, a widow raising his three daughters with the help of his brother-in-law Jesse and best friend Joey. By the series end, Jesse was married to Rebecca and they had twin boys. The new series focuses on widow – oldest Tanner daughter – DJ, who moves back into the family home with her three boys after her firefighter husband dies. Middle Tanner daughter Stephanie and DJ’s best friend Kimmie move in with her, along with Kimmie’s daughter, to help DJ raise her boys. Other family members will guest star throughout the series, but the show will focus on DJ, Kimmie, Stephanie, and the kids.

Full House was a simple, feel-good, family show that I still love well into adulthood. So even though critics are already saying some not-so-nice things about it, I’m looking forward to it simply because I loved the original so much and am excited to see where all the characters are now, some twenty years later. If you go in expecting perfection, you’ll be disappointed. Hopefully you can go into it like I am and expect some silly, heartwarming, cheesy fun.

Don’t miss the complete first season premiere tonight on Netflix at 3:01AM/2:01AMc.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing The Big Bang Theory (200th episode!), Top Chef, 2 Broke Girls, Beat Bobby Flay, Colony, & Recipe for Deception.

suits224smallLast week on Suits, the event that we’ve been building to over the last four and a half seasons finally kicked off: Mike’s trial for impersonating a lawyer. Harvey and Jessica had convinced Mike to do a practice mock trial in front of the firm, and the proceedings led to some intense moments between Harvey and Mike. However, the mock trial was interrupted by Anita Gibbs, who showed up to announce that she had gotten the trail date moved up. Meanwhile, Harvey’s plan to ship Sheila out of the country so she couldn’t testify backfired, and Gibbs threatened to go after him for witness tampering if Sheila didn’t return from Argentina. At the trial, Gibbs put Donna on the stand, and she was forced to plead the fifth so as to not incriminate herself, which didn’t look good for Mike. Harvey was able to score some points by convincing Mike’s former client Jimmy to testify that Mike went to Harvard with him (which was a total lie). Gibbs tried to convince the jury that Jimmy was perjuring himself, but did she do enough?

Things aren’t looking great for Mike – he needs to be able to testify but not end up on the stand himself. He wants to switch and represent himself, as this will allow him to not only achieve that but also help the jury see him as a lawyer. However, will he and Harvey be able to convince the judge to allow them to make this switch? Even so, do they have a chance at winning this case? Will Louis crumble under Gibbs’s pressure and make a deal with her in exchange for immunity? It’s amazing that a show can still be this tense and enjoyable five seasons in. I never thought we’d actually get to this case, but I’m so glad we have, because this has been really exciting to watch!

On tonight’s episode, “Tick Tock,” Louis considers Anita Gibbs’s offer to turn on his compatriots; Rachel advises Mike on how to win hearts and minds in the courtroom; Donna begs Harvey to not do anything rash, while Jessica thinks he should; and Harvey and Mike contemplate a new strategy.

Catch more of the trial of the year tonight on USA Network at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching/recording Survivor, Criminal Minds, The Middle, The Goldbergs, Modern Family, black-ish, Arrow, Supernatural, Young & Hungry, Baby Daddy, Man Seeking Woman, Face Off, Younger, and Teachers.

ncis223smallLast week’s NCIS was exciting. The Secretary of the Navy’s (Sarah Porter) daughter was kidnapped, along with her boyfriend, and while the boyfriend was found shortly after, alive and unharmed, they eventually got a ransom call, asking for $10 million. They wouldn’t allow Porter to deliver the ransom like the instructions said, in case it was someone who specifically wanted to get to her, so her ex-husband agreed to do it. When he got to the drop-off point, they sent him to another place, and when he saw the van, they told him to give them the money, but then they shot at him and raced away, leaving him to watch as they closed the door on his view of his daughter. They also remotely blew up a few cars in the parking garage near Gibbs and McGee. Everyone ended up okay, thank goodness. In the end, it was personal. The former special-ops team was hired by the ex-husband’s girlfriend, but they killed her and tried to leave the city in a helicopter, only to be stopped by Gibbs & co.

We’re on the back half of the season, leading up to Tony’s departure. I’m worried… How will he go out? Will he be reunited with Ziva? With Jeanne Benoit (who is my pick, if she divorces her husband or something… She’s back tonight, so maybe we’ll get some answers on that front…)? He’s gotta find a forever love, right?

On tonight’s episode, “Loose Cannons,” Doctor Cyril Taft (Jon Cryer) experiences the rush of an NCIS case after he is assigned surgical duty to Gibb’s suspect and finds key evidence. Also, Dinozzo pays Jeanne Benoit (Scottie Thompson) a visit as he chases a lead involving doctors in Sudan. Laura San Giacomo & David Chisum also guest star.

See how Tony’s visit with Jeanne goes tonight on CBS at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Hollywood Game Night, Team Ninja Warrior, Grandfathered, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Chicago Med, Junk Food Flip, The Little Couple, NCIS: NOLA, Rizzoli & Isles, Chicago Fire, Chopped, Rattled, & The Shannara Chronicles.
