The Librarians Episode 301 "And the Rise of Chaos" 5/6/16 IMG_8411I’m so excited because tonight is the season premiere of The Librarians on TNT. On the last season finale, the group had their hands full battling Prospero, who was wreaking havoc with modern technology because he wanted to create an idyllic forest utopia, no matter the cost. To stop him, Flynn and Baird had to travel back in time to 1611, while the others battled him in the present time. Fortunately, they were able to defeat him, which meant the season ended on a high note. The team is working together well, and at least in the first few episodes, Flynn is still working side by side with them. It’ll be interesting to see how much of the season Noah Wyle is around for!

On tonight’s episode, “And the Rise of Chaos,” when the Egyptian God of Chaos inhabits a human body, he attempts to release Pure Evil into the world, thus beginning the final battle of Good vs. Evil. In order to stop him, the Librarians must decipher a series of clues within a science museum, including a mysterious warning spoken by exhibit mannequins that have come to life.

See if the Librarians can stop Pure Evil from taking over tonight on TNT at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Guy’s Grocery Games, NCIS: LA, Holiday Baking Championship, & Clash of the Grandmas.

bluebloods1118smallI should have known it would work out on Blue Bloods last week, when the woman who’d been raped a few episodes before killed her rapist. When his new girlfriend (her former friend) wouldn’t listen to her warnings, she went to his place to warn him away, but he grabbed her by the throat and held her against the wall, so she shot him with the gun she’d brought with her. The current girlfriend said she didn’t see anything but later recanted when Erin emotionally blackmailed the rapist’s former attorney into representing the rape victim/killer. The guy got what he deserved, thank goodness. The other police story line was the sergeant who was at the bodega with his 10-year-old daughter before school, and a couple of guys came in to rob the place. Rather than confront them, which would have put his daughter in danger because there was no good place for her to hide, he kept himself and his daughter hidden from the bad guys. When they shot the kid working the register, he didn’t confront them, which earned him modified duty. But then later, he rushed into a dangerous situation, unarmed. He did a brave thing, but unfortunately, it got him shot. He was going to be fine, thankfully.

In other huge news (for shippers at least!), Eddie was jealous when Jamie offered his spare room to a young woman who got evicted from her apartment. Eddie denied being jealous, but then later, she came to Jamie’s apartment, admitted she has strong feelings for him, and after he admitted he has strong feelings for her as well, they kissed…twice! Finally! Unfortunately, they also don’t want to screw up their partnership and friendship, so I’m not sure where that story line will go. I want them to be partners so we can see them together, but I want them TOGETHER. Argh! Hopefully tonight we’ll see where it’s headed!

On tonight’s episode, “Confessions,” Frank is left with minimal information to find a missing boy when a conflicted priest who could help won’t break the seal of confession. Also, Danny and Baez investigate the death of a prominent New York City socialite with a secret life, and Jamie and Eddie attend a wedding together. Frankie J. Alvarez (Looking), Tim Guinee (Revolution, The Good Wife, Hell on Wheels), Stacy Keach (Crowded, Prison Break, Titus), & Chelsea Spack (Gotham) guest star.

See if they can find the missing boy and solve a murder tonight on CBS at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Hell’s Kitchen, Last Man Standing, MacGyver, & Hawaii Five-0.

incorporatedsmallThe new Syfy series Incorporated doesn’t premiere until Wednesday November 30, but today Syfy is offering an early preview of the first episode at Incorporated.Syfy.com. The series is set in the year 2074, when climate change has ravished the planet and large corporations control 90% of the world’s natural resources. Society has been split into two classes: the rich live under the walled protection of the Green Zone and work for the corporations, while the poor live in the slums of the Red Zone, fending for themselves. Ben Larson (Sean Teale, Reign), a young executive at Spiga Biotech, has concealed his true identity for years, pretending to be a company man in order to rise up the ranks. He has a secret personal agenda, but in order to succeed, he will need to gain access to corporate perks only available to executives on the 40th floor. Ben’s wife Laura (Allison Miller, Terra Nova) is a successful plastic surgeon who doesn’t really get along with her mother Elizabeth (Julia Ormond, Mad Men), the head of Spiga’s US operations. The company takes corporate espionage very seriously, and Spiga’s Head of Security, Julian (Dennis Haysbert, 24), is one of the most feared men at the company. The series also stars Eddie Ramos (Teen Wolf) as Theo, the younger brother of a love from Ben’s past.

The premiere sets up a really interesting futuristic world filled with cool visuals and technology. However, despite all these advancements, the world is quite divided: the Green Zone controls the wealth, but it also feels very cold and sterile; while the Red Zone is dangerous, run-down, and filled with cheap, exploitative entertainment designed to attract wealthy visitors. The look and premise of the series reminds me a lot of the film Gattaca (which I also enjoyed). I look forward to checking out more of this series in a few weeks.

Check out the early release of the premiere tonight at Incorporated.Syfy.com.

I’ll also be watching/recording The Goldbergs, Speechless, Modern Family, black-ish, Designated Survivor, Survivor, Criminal Minds, Blindspot, Lethal Weapon, Empire, Arrow, Frequency, Undercover, Worst Cooks in America, You’re the Worst, Stan Against Evil, Younger, and Impastor.

goodbehavior1115smallTonight is the two-hour premiere of TNT’s new thriller Good Behavior. Letty Raines (Michelle Dockery, Downton Abbey) was released early from prison due to good behavior, but her life is still a mess. She lost all her parental rights to son Jacob (Nyles Julian Steele), and her mother Estelle (Lusia Strus, Cotton) doesn’t want to have anything to do with her. As Letty struggles to be a better person, she continues with her old habits of being a thief, a pickpocket, and a grifter. While robbing a hotel room, she overhears a hitman (Juan Diego Botto, Ismael) plotting to kill another man’s wife and soon finds herself mixed up in a dangerous and deadly new world. The series also stars Terry Kinney (Show Me a Hero, Oz) as Letty’s parole officer, Christian. The series comes from Chad Hodge and Blake Crouch, the writers/creators of the first season of Wayward Pines.

TNT has been airing sneak previews of the first half of tonight’s premiere this past week and have also made the uncensored episode available On Demand, as well as on iTunes, Vudu, etc. I thoroughly enjoyed the first episode. It is so tense and exciting, and Michelle Dockery gives an amazing dramatic performance. The episode ends with a bit of a cliffhanger, so I can’t wait to see how the story continues in the second half of tonight’s premiere!

On tonight’s episodes, “So You’re Not an English Teacher,” a lady con artist, newly sprung from jail and trying to go straight, gets entangled in a dangerous and seductive relationship with a killer. Then, in “Only the Best for Mrs. Diaz,” Javier forces Letty to pose as his wife to help him accomplish his next job at an upscale resort in the Smoky Mountains. As instructed, Letty befriends the target’s wife, but her true intent is to escape with the woman.

Get introduced to this new show tonight on TNT starting at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching/recording The Middle, American Housewife, Fresh Off the Boat, The Real O’Neals, This Is Us, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, New Girl, Scream Queens, The Flash, No Tomorrow, Teen Wolf, Sweet/Vicious, Channel Zero: Candle Cove, Aftermath, and Shooter.

scorpion1114smallLast week’s Scorpion was pretty fun. It was election day, and the FBI showed up and asked for Scorpion’s help…but Walter was forced to stay back (and keep an eye on Ralph) because his immigration status was under suspicion. Needless to say, he didn’t like that one bit. The rest of the team figured out that someone had hacked into and was screwing with the votes. In the end, Walt and Ralph escaped their FBI babysitter and helped the team figure out it was people from the Chinese embassy. With the US election in chaos and no president-elect called because of it, it would benefit the Chinese. Toby was great in this one, from his one-liners to how he took over the TV interview and helped talk down the Chinese.

On a personal note, things were all over the map for them all. It seems like Paige and Tim are getting closer (*gag*), so much so that he’s now introduced both her and Ralph to his parents. Ralph told Paige that her happiness is most important, so it’s fine with him if Tim becomes his stepfather, even though he wants Walter to be it instead. But with the rest of the team throwing relationship stats at her about meeting the parents being a precursor to an engagement, Paige seemed like she was freaking out a little. (Thank goodness. Maybe that relationship will be over soon!) And on a very sad note, Happy had to tell Toby that she wasn’t pregnant after all, that her blood test had been a false positive. She broke down, nearly destroying the awesome mechanical crib she’d built, telling him she was looking forward to waiting for her child after school, unlike when she grew up in the orphanage and had no one waiting for her. Toby promised her that they would have that family. She tried to tell Toby she wanted some alone time, but when he went to walk away, he shocked her by turning and getting down on one knee. Since the President of the United States had been so thankful that he’d gotten Walter’s citizenship approved, Happy was free and clear to say yes to the proposal, knowing she and Walt could get a divorce. So among the sadness was a happiness and relief for them both.

On tonight’s episode, “Sly and the Family Stone,” when Team Scorpion travels to Ireland for Megan’s one-year memorial, Walter discovers that a nearby lake’s natural disaster has created a poisonous cloud that could kill everyone in the village. Also, Cabe and Toby try to alleviate the tension between Tim and Walter.

See how Team Scorpion saves the village tonight on CBS at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Chopped, Kevin Can Wait, Man With a Plan, 2 Broke Girls, Cake Wars, & Conviction.
