Tonight is the Hallmark movie Pumpkin Everything at 8/7c. Amy (Taylor Cole) is a novelist who returns to her hometown to look after her stubborn grandfather Tom (Michael Ironside) and his pumpkin-themed store. While there, she crosses paths with a man (Corey Sevier) from her past.

Tonight is the SyFy movie Bring It On: Cheer or Die at 9/8c. The seventh installment in the Bring It On franchise, and the first to take a stab at the slasher genre, follows team co-captains Abby (Kerri Medders) and McKayla (Tiera Skovbye) and their Diablos teammates who are forbidden from doing any risky cheer stunts by their overly cautious school principal (Missi Pyle) and fear that they will be laughed out of the upcoming regional cheer competition. The squad comes up with a plan to choreograph a winning routine in secret, at a nearby abandoned school. Once at the school to rehearse, the cheerleaders begin to disappear one by one. By the time they realize they’re locked inside with a killer, it may be too late for any of them to survive. If We Controlled Your Remote… 10/7/22

Have you ever been at a loss as to what to watch? Too many shows to pick from? We’re here to give you our opinions on what we feel is worth watching. Check it out and then let us know in the comments below what you’re choosing for tonight!

Jenny’s Choice

I’ve been looking forward to the series premiere of Fire Country since I first heard about it. This is inspired by series star Max Thieriot’s experiences growing up in Northern California fire country. Max plays Clay on SEAL Team, and we’ve been assured that Clay isn’t going anywhere, so apparently Max is able to do double duty, or rather triple, since he’s the creator and an executive producer of this new series as well as starring.

He plays Bode Donovan, a young convict seeking redemption and a shortened prison sentence by joining an unconventional prison release firefighting program in Northern California, where he and other inmates are partnered with elite firefighters to extinguish massive, unpredictable wildfires across the region. It’s a high-risk, high-reward assignment, and the heat is turned up when Bode is assigned to the program in his rural hometown, where he was once a golden all-American son until his troubles began. Five years ago, Bode burned down everything in his life, leaving town with a big secret. Now he’s back, with the rap sheet of a criminal and the audacity to believe in a chance for redemption with Cal Fire.

I’m super excited about the premise, and I’m also excited about the cast. Billy Burke (Revolution, Zoo, and The Twilight Saga movies), Diane Farr (Numb3rs, Rescue Me), & Kevin Alejandro (Lucifer, Shark, The Returned, Sleeper Cell, Southland, True Blood), along with Jordan Calloway, Jules Latimer, & Stephanie Arcila.

Don’t miss tonight’s premiere on CBS at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching The Great British Baking Show, S.W.A.T., & Blue Bloods.

SEAL Team Season Five DVD Review

If you’ve been on this site at all, you know that SEAL Team is one of my favorite shows of all-time. So when I was lucky enough to get my hands on the DVD for season five, you better believe I binge-watched the heck out of it. Season five was different from the previous four seasons, in that after the first four episodes on the original network, CBS, the show moved to Paramount+. Aside from having fewer episodes, which stinks, it gave the writers a little bit more freedom, and I know fans were grateful because it meant the show continued, rather than getting canceled.

Regardless of the shortened season, there was plenty of action. During an op, after a mistake made by Jason due to his memory issues, the team all ended up in the hospital, lucky to be alive and relatively unharmed. They traveled from South Africa to Venezuela to Afghanistan to New York City (which was for their 9/11 episode, one of the most emotional episodes to date!). And there was so much character growth. Sonny had a baby. Clay and Stella got pregnant, married, and nearly lost their son but ended up being able to take him home. Jason and Ray continued to deal with Jason’s TBI and Ray’s PTSD, both on a positive trajectory throughout the season. Clay’s dad told him he had cancer, and the two of them were finally able to make some peace. But the biggest, scariest episode yet was the season finale, when the team was ambushed in Mali and set the course for a huge change for season six.

The 4-disc DVD includes Deleted Scenes and a Gag Reel (always my favorite), as well as four featurettes.

Jump with me to read all about the featurettes. Continue reading
