Jenny’s Choice
My picks tonight are both on CBS, so I’m just lumping them in together. Both NCIS: LA & NCIS: New Orleans premiere tonight, and I’m so excited. I hate how COVID has wreaked havoc with my TV!
When we last left off in Los Angeles, Nell was pretty burned out and ready to turn in her papers, but Hetty convinced her to take her vacation and think about things. Also, Sam and Callen were dealing with a case in which two SEALs claimed their chief (Senior Chief Argento) murdered an unarmed prisoner. Turned out Argento was a bad dude, but even though they were finally able to arrest him, he told them he would get off scot-free. (His wife has connections with a senator, and Argento thinks he’s untouchable.)
Then in New Orleans, Khoury was deep into taking down Deputy Director Van Cleef, who liked ruining women’s careers, and with Pride’s help, they talked him into resigning. The team was also able to clear Khoury’s name from the last time Van Cleef had her punished. He showed up at Khoury’s house later, trying to intimidate her, but it didn’t work.
Now that the shows are back, post-COVID, it’ll be interesting to see how they handle it. I know that on LA, they’re going to be in a post-Pandemic time, but on New Orleans, it’s very much entrenched in the coronavirus. I’m going to enjoy the difference, I think, but I guess we’ll see.
On tonight’s NCIS: LA, “The Bear,†when a Russian bomber goes missing while flying over U.S. soil, Callen and Sam must track it down in the desert and secure its weapons and intel before the Russians on board destroy the plane. Also, Hetty gives Nell a cryptic assignment.
Then on NCIS: New Orleans, “Something in the Air, Pt 1,†as New Orleans grapples with the effects of COVID-19, Pride sends Tammy and Carter to investigate a suspicious death aboard a humanitarian ship offshore, where they learn that some crew members are infected with the deadly disease. Also, Wade is overwhelmed by the high volume in the morgue due to COVID-19.
Don’t miss the exciting premieres tonight on CBS at 8:30/7:30c & 9:30/8:30c.
I’ll also be watching Holiday Wars, Supermarket Sweep, Who Wants to be a Millionaire, Card Sharks, & the Kids Baking Championship special.
