Tonight, the first season of FOX’s hilarious comedy, LA to Vegas, comes to an end. In last week’s episode, Captain Dave insisted that he was over his breakup with Patricia. However, while giving one of his in-flight ads for an escape room-slash-wedding chapel, he lost it, going on an anti-love tirade over the loudspeaker to the passengers. In his anger, he broke a warning light on the flight deck, causing the plane to be grounded for repairs. So he headed off to the casino with Artem and Colin, where he found himself on a roll at the craps table. And with all his winnings, Dave decided that he was going to buy an engagement ring for Patricia. Meanwhile, Ronnie talked to Nichole about Bryan asking her to move in with him. Ronnie was afraid to take this next step, so she started to make a pros and cons list. But when Bryan showed up at the gate, Ronnie told him she wanted to move in with him.

Will Captain Dave go through with his proposal to Patricia, and if so, how will she respond? Is Dave really the marrying kind? How will Ronnie’s decision to move to Las Vegas to live with Bryan change her future? And with everyone else seemingly finding love, when will it be Colin’s turn? I’ve really enjoyed the first season of this wacky airline comedy and look forward to seeing how things are left in tonight’s finale. I really hope this show comes back for another season!

On tonight’s episode, “The Proposal,” Ronnie applies for a job at another airline; against Nichole’s wishes, Dave plans to propose to Patricia; Artem encourages Colin to stand up to his ex-wife.

See where the gang leaves off for the season tonight on FOX at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching/recording The Middle, black-ish, Rise, New Girl, The Flash, The 100, and Legion.

I don’t watch a lot of primetime sitcom stuff, but one of my best friends whom I stayed with this winter watches a ton of them, so I accidentally found out that I enjoy Superior Donuts. In writing it up this week, I learned its origin as a play in Chicago that went Broadway to regional theaters to CBS. WTG small-time play!

Last time the show aired, two weeks ago, the plot mostly revolved around the DMV. They recently lost their delivery guy, and Franco can’t do it because he never got his license. So Arthur volunteered to teach him. Only, while they were out driving around an empty parking lot, they got pulled over by a cop. Cop found out Arthur’s license was expired, and since he was over 75, he had to retake his test at the DMV.

The two took the test same day, and Franco passed while Arthur did not. To Franco, he saw the need for the older man to get it renewed. Like it was a watershed moment after which he would see himself less and less capable if he cannot renew it. After he accidentally crashed his car through the front of Fwaz’s store, DeLuca stressed how maybe it was time that he give up driving. When he sold his car, we assumed he failed again and gave up. But no. He just bought a new car!

On tonight’s episode, “The ICEMen Cometh,” with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents conducting raids in Uptown, Sofia turns to Franco for help hiding her undocumented brother, Rafael (Erik Rivera), who faces deportation to Colombia. Also, Tush decides it’s time to give up his daily sugar rush. The episode was inspired by actress Diane Guerrero’s experience growing up.

See if Franco can help Sofia and Rafael tonight on CBS at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching American Dad & Supergirl.

Each season, the FXX series Archer re-invents itself. Last year, the series became a noir detective mystery, with the characters taking on different roles in the dreamworld inside Archer’s head. This season is called Archer: Danger Island, and once again the characters aren’t quite themselves. The season is set in 1939, on the island of Mitimotu in the South Pacific, where Archer’s mother owns a hotel. Malory pays off local French police Capitaine Reynaud to look the other way when it comes to the illegal businesses she runs out of the hotel. Staying at the hotel is heiress Charlotte Vandertunt, whose life has started to fall apart after she cheated on her husband with Archer, during her honeymoon.

Archer is a one-eyed, eye patch wearing pilot for Sterling Airlines, a small business that flies folks around the island. His co-pilot is Pam, who can also serve double duty as a tough jungle guide. Princess Lanaluakalani charters a flight, but Archer suspects she might be hiding some sort of secret agenda. She is joined by a foreign “businessman,” Siegbert Fuchs, who is obviously some sort of German spy. Oh, and there’s also a talking macaw named Crackers.

I’ve checked out the first two episodes of this new season, and I still find this show to be so much fun. It’s wonderful how the writers find new ways to make each new season feel like a fresh, new, self-contained story. While the characters are different, they still have a lot of the same personality traits we’ve come to love. Archer still drinks a lot, loves female companionship, hates his mother, and makes lots of sarcastic remarks. It looks like Danger Island is going to be another great season, with lots of crazy pitfalls, dangers, and precarious situations to befall the characters.

On tonight’s season premiere, “Strange Pilot,” Archer inserts himself into a domestic dispute; engine troubles threaten to ruin Archer’s business.

Visit Mitimotu with Archer and the gang tonight on FXX at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching/recording The Handmaid’s Tale, Alex, Inc., Designated Survivor, Survivor, The Blacklist, The Americans, The Expanse, and Krypton.

Last week’s Blindspot seemed to be a turning point in the new “relationship” Roman had with Jane and the FBI to take down Crawford. Jane, Weller, & Zapata were attending a gala hosted by Crawford and Blake. Avery left the van and sneaked in to confront Crawford. They were able to get her out of there without alerting Crawford as to who they really were, and Roman explained how he would turn off the security that would then allow their cameras to record the meeting Crawford was going to have with a big bad guy, which should allow them to get him. Unfortunately, after Blake gave him a heartfelt speech about love and family, Roman changed his mind and raced into the meeting to turn back on the security and tell Crawford the FBI was on its way. In the jet after Crawford, Blake, Roman, and Crawford’s attorney escaped the gala ahead of the FBI raid, Crawford gave his own heartfelt speech about family, etc. The attorney then brought up the question of how Roman knew. He sidestepped the issue, but Crawford seemed suspicious. He mentioned the task he’d set “Tom” on, killing the FBI team, and this time, Roman seemed to do what he was asked to do. He contacted someone (multiple someones, it seems) and now Jane, Weller, and the others are in immediate danger. Eek!

We’re coming up on the end of the season. Only five more episodes, including tonight’s. NBC has yet to renew it, so either they need to wrap the Crawford/Roman story line up in these five episodes or we’ll be left with a huge cliffhanger at the end of the season. I’ll be very unhappy if that happens and the show isn’t renewed!

On tonight’s episode, “Clamorous Night,” the team faces a deadly threat on all of their lives. Roman’s allegiances are tested.

See if everyone makes it out alive tonight on NBC at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing MacGyver, Hawaii Five-0, & MasterChef: Junior.

Last week was a very different sort of Chicago Fire. The alarms went off and both trucks and the ambo rolled out, only to be stopped by black SUVs squealing into the parking lot. It was the FBI, and they were taking over the firehouse, so they needed the trucks and ambo out of the way so they could park their vehicles inside, out of the way of prying eyes. They were going after a guy who killed one of the FBI agents, and they knew he was going to be in the apartment building across from the firehouse. The same apartment building where the father and his young daughter lived who the guys at the station met when the dad ran his daughter over when she was choking on a bite of hotdog.

In the end, Severide and Casey volunteered to go over as firemen and see what they could learn about the apartment the FBI was interested in. Then when the killer showed up, they went in with the FBI behind them dressed as firefighters after getting the father to pull the fire alarm to give them an excuse to come over. It worked, although one of the FBI people caught a bullet to the vest and two bad guys were killed. One sweet thing was Casey got Boden to let Otis drive the truck over to the apartment building. And Severide’s parents broke up again after Severide told his dad that she deserved better.

After seeing the preview for this week, I’m excited because it looks like it’ll be a good episode. Do they suddenly have a way to get rid of the annoying new guy, Cordova? Or is that going to be too easy? Hmm…

On tonight’s episode, “Where I Want to Be,” after responding to a residential fire at a property belonging to a Mexican drug cartel, Casey is skeptical of Cordova (guest star Damon Dayoub) after a hefty amount of money was found missing from the crime scene. Elsewhere, Kidd makes a big decision.

Find out who, if anyone, took the money tonight on NBC at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing The Big Bang Theory, Beat Bobby Flay, & S.W.A.T.
