brooklyn99517smallLast week’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine was a lot of fun. I love seeing Jake work closely with Holt. And of course, throw Charles into the mix, and his bromance with Jake is always funny. Jake was positive from the beginning that the man’s murder had to do with the 21-million that had been stolen years before. In the end, he had the wrong bad guy pegged as the killer, but the motive was correct, and they caught the killer and recovered the money. Of course, that was what Madeline Wuntch wanted, as it gave her the excuse to “promote” Holt to head of the Public Relations Department — perfect for someone with Captain Holt’s effusive personality. *snort* In the B story, Rosa, Amy, & Gina helped Terry when a class from the magnet school Terry was trying to get his twins into came and visited the precinct. Although it didn’t go as smoothly as they would’ve liked, in the end, the kids learned a lot and Terry’s twins got off the wait list for the magnet school preschool.

Questions going into tonight’s season finale: Will we get any progress on the Jake/Amy front? Will Captain Holt’s “promotion” stick? I’ve seen tonight’s episode, and I could answer those for you, but I won’t. 😉 I will say it’s another great ep, so don’t miss it!

On tonight’s episode, “Johnny and Dora,” Jake and Amy go undercover to catch Brooklyn’s most notorious identity thief, and the case brings them closer together — very close. Meanwhile, the entire precinct is caught off-guard when one of their own says goodbye to the Nine-Nine. Kyra Sedgwick & Nick Cannon guest star.

To see what happens with Jake & Amy as well as who says goodbye, tune in to FOX at 8:30/7:30c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Guy’s Grocery Games, Spring Baking Championship, & Cutthroat Kitchen.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 3/25/12

A year ago today, I became a mom for the second time. I held in my arms the most adorable, mischievous, quizzical, and sweet little boy, Pherson. Happy 1st Birthday, Pherson. The world became a brighter and louder place the moment you were born. 🙂

Now that I’ve gushed about my precious boy, let’s see what you should be watching on television tonight, shall we?

Every week, GCB gets a little bit nuttier, and I have been soaking up every delicious second of it. Last week, we watched as Carlene and her husband, Ripp, had marital issues – brought on by Ripp’s obsession on finding the money that Bill stole from him. We also watched Cricket get her “work out” by the tae kwon do instructor (he was super hot) and then later learned what a toll this faux marriage takes on her psyche. We also watched as Amanda is working on getting past her issues with Bill, but we also got a hint that he may actually be alive. Eek! I’m looking forward to Amanda and Carlene going head to head more, because I love the crazy bitchy behaviour.

On tonight’s episode, “A Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing,” Carlene’s Uncle Burl returns to town with his wife, Bitsy, and Gigi promises to throw them a homecoming party requiring guests to come dressed as their favorite Texan. Meanwhile, Blake recruits Amanda to consult for Cricket and Blake’s denim line, Pastor Tudor counsels Sharon and Zack during their rough patch – resulting in Sharon’s working at the church and Zach’s taking over Sharon’s duties at home – and Heather is after Burl’s 500 acres of land for her client, Andrew.

To watch this insane bitchy drama and have a good laugh, tune in to ABC at 10/9c. Learn where to find episodes online of GCB @ Clicker.

Tonight, I’ll also be watching and DVRing The Amazing Race, Once Upon a Time, The Good Wife, Harry’s Law, Desperate Housewives, and CSI: Miami.

TV Clips – Smith Winter Mitchell Agency Vignettes for Mad Men Fans

If you are a fan of AMC’s Mad Men, you’ve probably seen the Smith Winter Mitchell Agency vignettes that air during the episodes. These vignettes showcase how a fictional 1960s ad agency, SmithWinterMitchell, develops campaigns for the six iconic Unilever brands (Dove, Breyers, Hellmann’s, Klondike, Suave Hair, and Vaseline), combining witty historic parody with modern ad footage. George and Tad are two of the men who work for SmithWinterMitchell, and they banter back and forth, debating ways to show off their new product. They are short (about a minute long each), funny, and well worth watching!

Check out the SmithWinterMitchell YouTube Channel to find all their current videos, and jump with me to check out the Hellmann’s ad, which is my favorite! Continue reading

If We Controlled Your Remote… 9/12/10

We have a guest poster this week. If you enjoys it, she may start posting every week with us. There are so many good shows on every night to choose from, it’s hard for just me and Megan to choose! So Lisa from Starry Constellation Magazine will be helping us out this week, giving you her opinion every day for what she thinks you should watch. Everyone welcome her! Now, on to what we recommend!

Jenny’s Choice

My recommendation this week is, again, The Glades on A&E. lol I know, I know. I’m a bit repetitive. But hot damn! Last week, Callie kissed Jim! Woohoo! And from the previews, we know she kisses him again this week. Is she happy she has feelings for him? Maybe not… But still… lol On tonight’s episode, when a man is found dead in his swimming pool, Longworth is introduced to the competitive and cut-throat world of high-end horse breeding by Callie, who was once an aspiring jocky; Longworth and Callie grow closer than ever before. Again, woohoo! Don’t miss tonight’s new episode of The Glades on A&E at 10/9c.
