rookieblue93smallWhat a rollercoaster this season of Rookie Blue has been, and tonight it all comes to a head. Last week, we watched as Andy started her usual panic mode when things got rough between her and Sam, but this time, Sam was the mature one and told Andy they should try something different this time, staying together. Andy admits that she was never going anywhere at all and that she loved him. I was swooning when Sam said he loved the baby and wanted more babies with Andy — a long time coming, but I’m certainly glad we got here. Elsewhere, we watched as Gail was put in the difficult position of testifying with her father putting pressure on her to lie so that Steve had a good alibi. Steve stood up and did the right thing by confessing to the judge and taking a plea deal. I’m interested in seeing what happens with Gail and Sophie, because it’d be a shame to see her end up with someone else.

On tonight’s finale, “Epiphanies,” as the restructuring of 15 Division looms, Andy and Sam’s wedding comes just in time for everyone to celebrate one last time. But when Andy is taken off-course by a hitchhiker and then stranded on the side of the road with a dying man, she finds herself with no way to get help — or let Sam know her situation. Will she be able to save the man’s life? And will she make it to her wedding?

Tune in to ABC at 10/9c to see how it all ends up.

I’ll also be watching Food Fighters, Chopped, and Mistresses.

rookieblue813smallRookie Blue has had a good season so far. I was afraid that Marlo’s pregnancy would mean major trouble for Sam and Andy, but so far, they’ve been able to work through it. Hopefully that continues. Meanwhile, Oliver is still a suspect for being the dirty cop and planting the bomb, but I have no doubt whatsoever that they’ll clear his name. The question is: Is Steve Peck really dirty or is this some sort of misdirection?

On tonight’s episode, “Integrity Test,” with Oliver still the prime suspect in the bombing of 15 Division’s evidence room, Andy, Dov, Gail, and Nick come up with a risky and potentially career-ending plan to prove Oliver is being set up by Commissioner Alonso Santana. Meanwhile, Traci shadows Steve Peck, hoping to calm her fears about his involvement in the bombing.

See what Traci learns tonight on ABC at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Boom!, Food Fighters, Man vs Child: Chef Showdown, Beat Bobby Flay, & Geeks Who Drink.

rookieblue79smallIt’s been a great season of Rookie Blue so far. I have to admit that I had my doubts, given the way they ended last season with Marlo’s pregnancy and how the writers have treated Andy & Sam in the past. But they both seem to be committed to making it work, and Marlo (so far) doesn’t seem to want to get in the middle of them. How it will continue to play out, I don’t know, but I have my fingers crossed. Meanwhile, last week’s story line with the ultra-conservative/strict/abusive father was crazy. It got even crazier when the little boy tried to poison his sister. I was glad they were able to convince the mom to get her and the kids out of their home situation.

On tonight’s episode, “Uprising,” as tensions are running high in an over-capacity women’s correctional facility, a riot breaks out while Andy, Juliet, Nick, and Gail are there to transfer two inmates. The officers are separated, and a lock-down situation leads to Andy and Juliet being trapped with a dangerous prisoner who is desperate to prove her innocence. Meanwhile, Sam shows up at Marlo’s ultrasound and stays by her side while they anxiously wait to hear if something’s wrong with the baby. Episode was directed by series star Gregory Smith.

See if the officers get out of the prison riot safely tonight on ABC at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Boom!, Food Fighters, Complications, Beat Bobby Flay, & Lip Sync Battle.

waywardpines72smallOn last week’s episode of Wayward Pines, we got even more answers. Pilcher gave Ethan a tour of the facilities and explained how project volunteers have devoted their lives to keeping the town’s system running from behind the scenes. The tour ended at the cryo room, where hundreds of bodies were in frozen storage. Meanwhile Kate, Ted, and Harold were plotting some sort of secret plan in a room that was outside of the town’s surveillance. We later discovered that Harold was actually building a bomb. And elsewhere, Theresa grew suspicious of an oddly vacant plot of land in town, but when she questioned Bill about it, he told her to mind her own business.

It will be interesting to see the full extent of this secret radical faction of townsfolk who don’t like what’s going on — how many people are in this group, how much do they know about what’s really going on, and what is their ultimate goal? What does Harold plan to blow up with his bomb? If he wipes out the security gates, will the town suddenly be overrun with Abbies? And at that point, is there any way to hide the truth from the rest of Wayward Pines? Will Theresa investigate Plot 33, and if so, what will she find? Will Ethan and Ben let each other know what they know…and will they clue Theresa in on what’s going on?

I have thoroughly enjoying this series and can’t believe we only have 4 episodes left!

On tonight’e episode, “Betrayal,” Ethan finds a bomb planted in his car, which leads him to question people he thought he could trust; Kate and Harold discuss their fertility issues with Nurse Pam; Ben’s relationship with Amy heats up.

See what Ethan does about the bomb tonight on FOX at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching/recording Big Brother, Under the Dome, The Astronaut Wives Club, Rookie Blue, Hannibal, and Complications.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 7/31/14

San Diego Comic-Con was a lot of fun. This year, I did around 18 press rooms and just a single panel, so it was a very different—and somewhat more relaxing—experience. However, now I have a TiVo that’s almost at capacity and a lot of videos to edit and photos to post! There’s a lot of things on TV tonight, and we’ve got a few suggestions as to what you should check out. [Side note from Jenny: We’ll be taking a couple of weeks off from the Remote posts, gearing up for the end of the summer season and beginning of the new fall season. There are a few big episodes in those two weeks, so we’ll pop up here and there, but don’t worry… We’ll be back on Sunday, August 17, to the regular Remote postings. And don’t worry, I’ll still be posting the weekly & daily schedules!]

dominion731smallLast week on Dominion, Michael wanted Alex to kill the 8-Ball that possessed Claire’s mother’s body. However, Alex couldn’t bring himself to do it. Instead, he showed Claire, who was initially in denial that her mother was still in the body. Alex was able to excise the angel, and Claire was reunited with her mother, but this was short-lived as her mother’s soul disappeared shortly afterwards. Claire was wrecked and immediately confronted her father about the situation, telling him that he will step down from his position immediately following the wedding. She then returned to the body and suffocated it while singing the lullaby her mother used to sing to her as a child. Meanwhile, William Whele forced his father to go through the initiation ceremony for Gabriel’s cult of followers.

Including tonight, there are just 3 episodes left to the season! Where does the show go from here? How will going through the trauma of gaining and losing her mother change Claire? Will General Riesen step down like his daughter demanded? And is David Whele really one of Gabriel’s followers now?

If you will be watching tonight’s Syfy lineup, be sure to check out my San Diego Comic-Con press room coverage for Defiance and Dominion for some fun interviews with the cast and creators of these shows.

On tonight’s episode, “Ouroboros,” Alex is called upon by Michael to help prevent any further casualties after innocent higher angels turn up dead in Vega; at the same time, Gabriel causes tension by revealing a long-hidden secret; William “re-educates” his father; and Noma reignites an old flame.

Find out what secret Gabriel reveals tonight on Syfy at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching/recording Big Brother, The Quest, Rookie Blue, Welcome to Sweden, Working the Engels, Married, You’re the Worst, MythBusters, Rush, Satisfaction, and Defiance.
