tbbt428smallI love The Big Bang Theory as much now as I ever have, and last week had me laughing for most of the episode. The gang decided to watch an episode of Game of Thrones together, but right beforehand, they started arguing and two sides were drawn. Leonard got tired of Sheldon’s bologna and stood up to him, saying he wasn’t going to the roommate meeting. Penny took Sheldon’s side for who knows what reason – she said it was because they’d made a deal… Whatever…), and then Amy took Leonard’s because she doesn’t like that Penny and Sheldon are always turning to one another. Howard, meanwhile, is irritated with Raj, who keeps spouting lines about being a ladies’ man because he’s seeing two women at once, so Howard stayed with Leonard, Amy, and her spinach dip, while Raj went with Sheldon and Penny to Penny’s old place.

The fights continued when Amy let it slip to Leonard that Penny uses her wile ways to shift the roommate agreement against Leonard when she wants something. He confronts her, and she confronts Amy about spilling the secrets. It seems to be heading toward a major argument between everyone out in the hall, when Howard yells out from the apartment, asking if there were nuts in the party sub Leonard bought. Obviously there were, as they figured out when he came stumbling into the hall, blowing up like a balloon. Nothing like an emergency to bring the friends all back together.

On tonight’s episode, “The Fermentation Bifurcation,” the gang goes to a wine bar and runs into Penny’s old boyfriend, Zack. Also, Bernadette gets stuck spending the evening with Sheldon when she can’t go wine tasting with the group, and things don’t go as planned when Koothrappali introduces his new girlfriend, Claire. Brian Thomas Smith & Alessandra Torresani guest star.

See what happens when old and new boy/girlfriends meet the gang tonight on CBS at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Bones, Man vs Child: Chef Showdown, 2 Broke Girls, Beat Bobby Flay, Impractical Jokers, & Rush Hour.

fullerhousesmallI’m so excited because late tonight/early tomorrow morning, Netflix is putting out the entire first season of Fuller House, the continuation of the hit show that began in 1987, Full House. The original focused on Danny Tanner, a widow raising his three daughters with the help of his brother-in-law Jesse and best friend Joey. By the series end, Jesse was married to Rebecca and they had twin boys. The new series focuses on widow – oldest Tanner daughter – DJ, who moves back into the family home with her three boys after her firefighter husband dies. Middle Tanner daughter Stephanie and DJ’s best friend Kimmie move in with her, along with Kimmie’s daughter, to help DJ raise her boys. Other family members will guest star throughout the series, but the show will focus on DJ, Kimmie, Stephanie, and the kids.

Full House was a simple, feel-good, family show that I still love well into adulthood. So even though critics are already saying some not-so-nice things about it, I’m looking forward to it simply because I loved the original so much and am excited to see where all the characters are now, some twenty years later. If you go in expecting perfection, you’ll be disappointed. Hopefully you can go into it like I am and expect some silly, heartwarming, cheesy fun.

Don’t miss the complete first season premiere tonight on Netflix at 3:01AM/2:01AMc.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing The Big Bang Theory (200th episode!), Top Chef, 2 Broke Girls, Beat Bobby Flay, Colony, & Recipe for Deception.

vikings218smallTonight, Vikings returns for its fourth season on History Channel. As the third season ended, Ragnar was growing weak, and in his final days he turned to Christianity, deciding he wanted a Christian burial. Count Odo agreed to let this happen as long as the men who brought his body to the church were unarmed. After some very teary good-byes, Ragnar’s boat-shaped coffin was brought into the Paris cathedral. However, Ragnar suddenly emerged from his coffin and held a knife to the Emperor, while the other Vikings armed themselves with swords from the boat. Ragnar killed the bishop, and the emperor fainted in fear. Ragnar freed the princess he had taken captive before making his way across the bridge to the Viking camp. The others were surprised to see that Ragnar was still alive – while his son Bjorn was overjoyed, the others didn’t seem too pleased by the deception. The Vikings decided to leave Paris but planned to return in the spring, and so Rollo was left behind in Frankia until they returned. The emperor came up with a plan to get back at Ragnar – he offered his daughter Gisla’s hand in marriage to Rollo, offering to make him a Duke. Meanwhile, on the boat back to Kattegat, Ragnar told Floki that he knows he was the one who killed the priest Athelstan.

So what adventures does this new season hold? Will the Vikings make their way back to Paris? How will Ragnar react to Rollo’s latest betrayal? And how will Rollo’s new position come into play? Speaking of betrayal, how will Ragnar make Floki pay for his actions against Athelstan? Is Ragnar through with Christianity, or will this continue to be a divisive point between him and the other men?

If you need to catch up on the series, History Channel will be marathoning the second half of season 2 followed by the entire third season today, leading up to tonight’s premiere.

On tonight’s premiere, “A Good Treason,” a dangerously ill Ragnar returns to Kattegat, where his suspected death kicks off a scramble to succeed him. Meanwhile, Lagertha engages in a power struggle with her calculating, former second in command, Kalf; Rollo betrays his heritage and remains in Frankia; and Floki pays the price for his brutality against the Christian priest.

See how the season starts tonight on History Channel at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching/recording The Big Bang Theory, Life in Pieces, Grey’s Anatomy, You, Me, and the Apocalypse, The Blacklist, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, The 100, Top Chef, Recipe for Deception, and Workaholics.

legendsoftomorrow24smallI’m really enjoying DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. It’s just a fun action superhero show that doesn’t take itself too seriously. Last week, the gang was still in 1975, where they infiltrated a nuclear-missile auction. However, Vandal Savage figured out who they were and offered the various villains in attendance a discount if they killed the Legends. A big battle broke out, and in the aftermath, part of the Atom’s suit was left behind. The group had to get this piece of future tech back ASAP in order to stop Savage from using the technology to create a massive weapon. While Stein, Sara, and Jax went looking for young Stein to borrow a device they could use to locate the missing piece of the suit, Heat Wave, Captain Cold, and Ray went to find an ancient dagger that had the power to kill Savage. By the end of the episode, the gang had another face-off with Savage, where Carter stabbed the villain with the dagger but unfortunately discovered that it only had the power to kill him if Kendra was the one who wielded it. Savage turned the dagger back on Carter, killing him, and then also wounded Kendra, but she and the rest of the group were able to get away to fight another day.

Where/when will the group head next, and what will their next plan to take down Savage involve? Will they jump ahead 20 years to pick up the next incarnation of Hawkman to join them once again, or is he really gone for good? There are so many fun combinations of these characters, and I look forward to seeing who they pair up for next week’s adventures.

On tonight’s episode, “Blood Ties,” Rip tries to weaken Vandal Savage by going after his financial assets. Rip and Sara infiltrate Savage’s bank but are discovered by his men. Meanwhile, Snart and Rory talk Jax into taking the jump ship back to Central City so they can steal a valuable emerald; and Professor Stein guides Ray on a dangerous mission.

Find out if Rip and Sara can escape Savage’s men tonight on The CW at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching/recording The Big Bang Theory, Life in Pieces, Angel from Hell, Madoff, You, Me and the Apocalypse, The Blacklist, The 100, Baskets, Top Chef, Recipe for Deception, Workaholics, and Idiotsitter.

tbbt1217smallLast week on The Big Bang Theory, Sheldon had an earworm stuck in his head and annoyed Penny and Leonard as he constantly tried to figure out what song it was. Meanwhile, Raj and Howard discovered their band already had a fan after just one performance. They stalked and tracked him down but quickly changed their minds about meeting him after witnessing him picking his nose at the coffee shop. And finally, Amy decided to move on, begrudgingly calling Dave – Sheldon’s number one superfan – for a second date, this time dinner at her home (with the possibility of more). Sheldon unknowingly interrupted the date, professing his love and kissing Amy. However, Amy’s date didn’t seem to mind. He was thrilled to finally meet Sheldon and lived the moment vicariously through her.

I was really happy to see Sheldon and Amy get back together last week. They make a really great couple. (Though I have really enjoyed guest star Stephen Merchant, and I hope they find a way to bring Dave back in a future episode.) If the gossip is true, tonight’s episode should be a big one for Amy and Sheldon, with the couple taking a gigantic leap forward. So I’m anxious to see how their relationship progresses from here.

On tonight’s episode, “The Opening Night Excitation,” Prof. Proton visits Sheldon in a dream and gives him Obi-Wan Kenobi-like advice about whether to go see the new Star Wars film or spend the time with newly reunited girlfriend Amy on her birthday. Meanwhile, Leonard, Howard, and Raj try to decide who will get their extra ticket to the movie premiere.

To see what step Shamy takes and who goes to the movie with the guys, tune in to CBS at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching/recording Life in Pieces.
