bones1210smallIt’s been several weeks since the last episode of Bones. A political journalist was killed after publishing an article exposing corruption in the NSA. After lots of twists and turns, it was finally revealed that the journalist’s source was actually her killer. It was a complicated case, and while it was good, the best part of the episode was the personal stuff, from Booth and Brennan discussing what food they should have for Thanksgiving dinner, then deciding to invite their friends from the Jeffersonian and FBI, and finally having dinner all together – including Booth’s surprise…a very grown-up-looking Parker!

There are two episodes tonight, including the fall finale, which makes me very sad! I have to admit that I caved and watched both on the FOX press site, and I will say they are two very, very good episodes. The first is fun, funny, and a nice episode to whet your appetite before the second, which is much, MUCH darker, scary, intense, and one of my favorite Bones episodes to date. Every single person did an amazing job. I plan to rewatch both episodes at least once.

On tonight’s first episode, “The Cowboy in the Contest,” To solve a murder, Brennan and Booth go undercover at an Old West-style shooting competition, while Angela and Hodgins discuss the future of their family and Cam gets close with photographer Sebastian Kohl (guest star Gil Darnell). Then on the second episode, “The Doom in the Boom,” the team investigates the murder of a police officer that sends shockwaves through both the Jeffersonian and FBI teams. Behavioral analyst Leslie Green (guest star Sara Rue) is assigned to work with Booth on the investigation and lends her professional assessments on who the cop killer could be, while Cam must make some decisions in her personal life and the entire team re-evaluates what is truly important to them.

See all the fun and excitement tonight on FOX starting at 8/7c.

tbbt1119smallOn last week’s episode of The Big Bang Theory, Sheldon was finally ready to re-enter the dating world and posted an elaborate scavenger hunt on Craigslist to find his new Amy. The clues would test any potential mate’s intelligence and the fact that she had nothing better to do on a Saturday night. Raj and Howard counted down the seconds to the deadline, but it seemed that no one had solved the clues. A couple minutes later, there was a knock on the door, and Sheldon answered. The young woman who had solved his riddle seemed absolutely perfect for him, and they had great chemistry. However, Sheldon closed the door on her, saying that she had not completed the task in time. And that was it. Meanwhile, Leonard, Penny, and Bernadette had a stakeout to get a glimpse of Amy’s dinner date. Her date seemed like a great guy. However, once he discovered that Amy knew the famous Doctor Cooper and his colleagues, that’s all he wanted to talk about.

Amy and Sheldon haven’t really spoken much since the breakup, and I’m interested to see how Amy reacts when she learns that Sheldon had planned to propose. I think it’s only a matter of time before Amy and Sheldon get back together, and while I’d really like that to happen, I think it would be a lot of fun to see more of Sheldon trying to date other people.

On tonight’s episode, “The Platonic Permutation,” now just friends, Sheldon and Amy spend Thanksgiving at the aquarium; a reluctant Wolowitz volunteers at a soup kitchen with Bernadette, Raj, and Emily; and Penny realizes that Leonard knows a bit more about her than he’s let on. Elon Musk guest stars.

To see what Leonard knows about Penny, tune in to CBS at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching/recording Life in Pieces, Grey’s Anatomy, Heroes Reborn, The Blacklist, Bones, Sleepy Hollow, Haven, Spotless, and Nathan for You.

scorpion1026smallLast week on Scorpion, Sylvester darn near made me cry. It was the case of his life – infiltrating the “Super Fun Guy” movie and even having to dress in costume to do it – but because Megan (Walter’s sister and the woman Sly is in love with) was getting ready to have a procedure done, and a dangerous one at that, Sylvester opted to stay home. Megan asked him not to tell Walter, so he didn’t. He obviously wanted to be with the team, but Megan was more important, especially since he was able to help them from there at home. The team had to stop some bad guys from selling a nuclear missile to even more bad guys. There were a lot of fun moments: Happy getting stuck in the silo, Toby going in after her and freeing her…by making her lose her pants, Walter setting off the weapon into the mine tunnel way underground… All of it was just a lot of fun, even if some of it is incredibly far-fetched.

That’s what I love about this show. It forces me to let go of real-life and just enjoy. Tonight’s a super-sized 90-minute episode following the premiere of Supergirl, so it should be a lot of fun. I can’t wait to see what kind of hijinks the team will be up to this week.

On tonight’s episode, “Tech, Drugs, and Rock ‘n Roll,” Walter’s attempt to “normalize” goes horribly wrong when a nefarious virus is uploaded to his computer, turning Team Scorpion’s new “smart” building project into a burning death trap with people locked inside. Andy Buckley, Doug Savant, & more guest star.

See what goes wrong tonight on CBS at 9:31/8:31c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing The Big Bang Theory, Supergirl, Halloween Baking Championship, Beat Bobby Flay, & Blindspot.

americancrimesmallI really enjoyed ABC’s new series American Crime when I first saw the pilot last summer and have been anxiously waiting for it to air. Rewatching the series premiere last week, I was quickly reminded why. In the opener, divorced couple Russell and Barbara learn that their son has been killed and his wife raped during a robbery at their home. Barbara quickly put herself in the spotlight, contacting a reporter to tell her story. Meanwhile, the police followed a lead that a Hispanic male was seen leaving the scene—and arrested Tony Gutierrez, who couldn’t have been more cooperative and seemingly innocent. Meanwhile, Russ learned that his perfect son was actually a drug dealer, and that was likely what lead to his death.

This series is very thought-provoking and shows how people’s biases and stereotypes can be completely wrong and that drug addicts and dealers come in all shapes and sizes. When young, blonde, white Aubry is battered and beaten, the police immediately ask her if it was her black boyfriend, Carter, who did this to her. Barb has also proven herself to be quite racist and predjudiced, so I’m really looking forward to seeing how she reacts when the truth about her son comes out and what she does when she confronts her son’s killers. I’m also interested to see if Tony will be a victim of circumstances and profiling—he certainly doesn’t seem like he would last a day in prison—or if will he be cleared and set free.

This show has a great cast giving some stellar performances, and I’m looking forward to seeing how all the drama unfolds.

On tonight’s episode, “Episode Two,” Barb and Russ face Carter and Aubry, who are reunited for the first time since being arrested more than a day ago. Meanwhile, a terrified Tony lands in juvenile detention, testing the resolve of his father, Alonzo; investigators find an existing warrant for Hector’s arrest in Mexico; and emerging facts about Matt and Gwen strain the relationship between their parents.

Learn what facts come out about Matt and Gwen tonight on ABC at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching/recording The Big Bang Theory, The Odd Couple, Grey’s Anatomy, The Blacklist, The Slap, Archer, Dig, and Wizard Wars.

allegiance226smallAllegiance has been getting really good. Last week’s episode gave us a bit of a “Da Vinci Code”-like story line. The Russians had replaced Alex’s shirt button with a bug and overheard the Fed’s plan to break into the vault hidden in Philadelphia City Hall, which contained Mikhail’s laptop with valuable intel. The CIA’s plan was to replace the laptop with less sensitive material and allow the Russians to believe they got the information they were looking for. However, Victor sent the O’Connors to grab the computer first. Their mission got very tense, as they were under extreme time pressure, but the O’Connors were able to break into the vault and get the laptop. However, they then found themselves trapped in the ceiling of City Hall as Alex ordered a search of the premises.

I hope every episode moving forward is as tense and action-packed as last week’s! All of this spy drama and action is exactly why I love shows like this! Will Alex find his parents and see that they took the laptop? Will he discover that he is being watching and bugged, and how would he react? Would he go on the offensive, or would he use the situation as a tactical advantage? I’m excited to see more of this story and hope the ratings pick up so we can see it come to a proper conclusion!

On tonight’s episode, “Chasing Ghosts,” a surprising discovery leaves Alex reeling as he tries to adjust his theories in light of what he found at Philadelphia City Hall. Meanwhile, the Rezident questions Katya and Mark’s dedication; and Natalie discovers the dangers of Black Dagger.

Find out what Alex learns tonight on NBC at 10:01/9:01c.

I’ll also be watching/recording The Big Bang Theory, The Odd Couple, Grey’s Anatomy, How to Get Away With Murder, The Slap, The Blacklist, Archer, and Wizard Wars.
