If We Controlled Your Remote… 4/3/16

Have you ever been at a loss as to what to watch? Too many shows to pick from? We’re here to give you our opinions on what we feel is worth watching. Check it out and then let us know in the comments below what you’re choosing for tonight!

Kyle’s Choice

thewalkingdead43smallTonight, the sixth season of AMC’s The Walking Dead comes to a close with a special 90-minute finale, and it’s likely that one or more major character isn’t going to survive the night. Last week, Carol ran off in the middle of the night and ended up crossing paths with another group of Negan’s men. She was able to escape thanks to putting on her downtrodden weak persona…and the fact that she had a hidden machine gun she had sewn into the sleeve of her jacket. Meanwhile, when the rest of the group learned about Carol’s disappearance, they split up into search parties, while Daryl headed off on his own to find and kill Dwight. Rick and Morgan thought they were tracking Carol, but it ended up just being a walker that resembled her, so they headed back to Alexandria, where Maggie (with a new short haircut) started having extreme stomach pains. Elsewhere, Dwight managed to capture Glenn and Michonne and used them as bait to set a trap for Daryl, which worked. The episode ended with Dwight shooting Daryl and the camera view getting covered in blood. Is Daryl dead?!

I think it’s highly unlikely that Daryl is actually dead (yet) and that all that blood we saw was from some sort of shoulder wound rather than a head shot. However, that still doesn’t put our gang out of danger! Will Dwight take his captives to Negan? Will be finally see Negan, and if so, what’s his style of justice like? Also, what happened to Carol after she got away? Is Maggie in labor, or is she losing the baby? And is her situation life-threatening? It should be an exciting night, and I’m just hoping all of my favorite characters survive!

On tonight’s finale, “Last Day on Earth,” Rick and the group must go outside the walls to save one of their own, but what they experience on the road will change their lives forever.

Find out who lives or dies tonight on AMC at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching/recording The Family, Quantico, The Carmichael Show, The Simpsons, Bob’s Burgers, The Last Man on Earth, Talking Dead, and Last Week Tonight with John Oliver.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 7/23/14

Having a job you love is so satisfying. Especially when you go there from one you really kind of hate. I’m in that position right now, and I feel so lucky. I just had to share that. *grin* I’m also lucky because there’s some great TV on tonight. Kyle’s busy getting ready for Comic-Con, so Megan & I are here to give you our recommendations.

young&hungry723smallI tend not to stick with shows on ABC Family I start, but so far, I’m really, really enjoying Young & Hungry & Mystery Girls. On Young & Hungry, there’s so much chemistry between Gabi & Josh. I’m loving seeing Emily Osment in something after Hannah Montana. Last week, Gabi thought she was pregnant, so she took a pregnancy test while there at work at Josh’s apartment. Okay, first, what the heck? Why in the world didn’t she just take it at home? Either before work or after? But I know for the story line’s sake, she couldn’t. LOL When the box was found in the trash, they assumed it was Caroline’s, and Josh was thrilled. When he realized it wasn’t her, but Gabi, he privately told her that he’d have supported her if it had turned out to be positive. I really want them together, darnit. They’re just too cute!

On tonight’s episode, “Young & Younger,” Sofia encourages Gabi to start dating again in the hopes she’ll move on from Josh. But Josh takes an immediate dislike to Gabi’s new guy, Cam (guest star Nick Roux, Pretty Little Liars), leaving Gabi confused about their relationship. And when Josh seems to discover some surprising news about Cam, Gabi refuses to believe him, which leads her to learn even more surprising news about Cam. Meanwhile, Elliot tries a little too hard to fit in with Josh’s programmer friends.

See Josh get jealous tonight and how he & Gabi come to terms with it tonight on ABC Family at 8/7c.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 9/10/13

Happy Tuesday! Today is the busiest day of my week for TV. That’s good, because I’m busy working on stuff that I can do while I watch. Yay for multitasking! So to help you sort through what is a very busy night of new TV, we have some recommendations for you. 🙂

rizzoliisles910smallI’m so sad because tonight is the summer finale for Rizzoli & Isles. It’s been an interesting season so far, especially with the Maura & her father story line and the addition of Lt. Martinez and the obvious chemistry between him and Jane. I’m glad nothing happened between them, though, since I love her with Casey. Here’s hoping that tonight’s episode doesn’t screw that up! Last week, my heart broke for the young woman who watched her mother die during her mock trial event. I did love how Jane & the gang fooled the crooked warden by Jane pretending to have…female problems. LOL It works every time! 😉

I’m also curious as to how the show is going to handle Lee Thompson Young’s death. Have they already filmed all of this season, or had they just done up to the summer finale? If they’ve already filmed the entire season, then they have a while to figure it out. If not, they don’t have a lot of time. I don’t think we’ll see anything about his character’s end on the show tonight, but it’s food for thought.

On tonight’s episode, “Partners in Crime,” the squad rushes to solve a violent homicide case muddled by conflicting evidence. Maura is burdened with the major decision of whether to take in her recently paroled grandfather (guest star Richard Herd). Meanwhile, Jane and Casey (guest star Chris Vance) are forced to decide between their careers and their romantic relationship.

Find out what decision Maura makes and how Jane and Casey leave their relationship tonight on TNT at 9/8c.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 4/8/11

Yay, it’s Friday! It’s been a pretty good week, so hopefully, the weekend will be just as good. Do you have any plans? I plan to catch up on TV, spend time with my hubby & kiddo, and just enjoy some relaxation. To start off the weekend, there’s some great TV on, so check out what we think you should be watching!

There are several things on tonight that I think you should watch (please don’t miss Blue Bloods!), but I gotta go with Chaos, which started last week. Scott & I really enjoyed the premiere. The show is about a team of…I think it would be safe to call them misfits…in the CIA. This is VERY reminiscent of The Good Guys on FOX, which makes us very happy, as we loved that show. It’s really humorous, and the case last week was great. This week looks like it will be equally good, so we have our fingers crossed!

On tonight’s episode, when a North Korean diplomat is embarassed in front of the U.N., he seeks out Rick to help orchestrate a defection for him and his family out of North Korea, so the agents must pose as anti-capitalism entrants to accomplish the mission.

See the craziest team of CIA agents on TV right now fight a similarly crazy country and government on CBS at 8/7c. Learn where to find episodes online of Chaos @ Clicker.

If We Controlled Your Remote… 3/25/11

This week has been a serious rollercoaster! It’s been filled with a lot of highs, such as the renewal of Fringe and the amazing and shocking season finale of Pretty Little Liars. It’s also been filed with a lot of lows, as well, with the cancellation of FX’s show Lights Out and the passing of legendary actress Elizabeth Taylor. Every week is a wild ride, and after this week of whirlwind emotions, we say, TGIF! Today is also the day baby Pherson should be born to Megan and her husband, so check back later, and hopefully, we’ll post the announcement of the finale of Baby Watch 2011!

Who Do You Think You Are brings an insightful and in depth look at the family tree of celebrities, as they dig around the branches to find information on their ancestors. This season, we’ve gotten a look at Rosie O’Donnell, Tim McGraw, Kim Cattrall, and Lionel Richie’s family backgrounds, and we’ve gotten to see a lot of insights and intrigue into their ancestry. I know this show has inspired many people to take a look at what lies among the branches of their own family trees.

Tonight, Steve Buscemi travels through New York, Philadelphia, and the battlefields of Virginia in his ancestry quest. Steve discovers that he may have a questionable character in one of his ancestors.

Watch a new episode tonight at 8/7c on NBC. Learn where to find episodes online of Who Do You Think You Are @ Clicker.
