If We Controlled Your Remote… 3/22/17

Have you ever been at a loss as to what to watch? Too many shows to pick from? We’re here to give you our opinions on what we feel is worth watching. Check it out and then let us know in the comments below what you’re choosing for tonight!

The last new episode of Chicago PD was part of the #OneChicago crossover, where Olinsky’s daughter was one of the victims in the warehouse fire started by a guy who was angry at a girl who he felt ignored his attentions. He thought they had something special, but she didn’t really know him. He just friended her on social media. He was wackadoo, and lots of people were killed, including Olinsky’s daughter, who died from her injuries. It was a crazy intense night of episodes and really sad but a great crossover.

Chicago PD is my favorite of the #OneChicago shows, and I’m so glad it’s back tonight. As a Linstead (Lindsay/Halstead) shipper, I am a little nervous about the guest star who starts tonight for a small arc, but the producer’s said that she won’t be a romantic rival for Erin, so I’ll keep my hopes up that they don’t screw up my favorite couple! Also, we haven’t had a lot of time to focus on Adam being back yet, so it’ll be interesting to see how the story line with him and Burgess goes!

On tonight’s episode, “Remember the Devil,” after being tipped off about a woman running barefoot through the woods, Intelligence is led to a kidnapping victim locked up in a shipping container. The bizarre scenario leaves Voight questioning the legitimacy of the case and sends the team on a twisted trail to get to the bottom of it. Meanwhile, a former relationship of Halstead’s comes back into the picture, much to the surprise of Lindsay.

See how the team solves the case tonight on NBC at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Blindspot, Chopped Junior, Cooks vs. Cons, Criminal Minds, Law & Order: SVU, Major Crimes, & Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders.

A couple weeks ago, I finally caught up on Schitt’s Creek, a series that has been on my “To Watch” list for years. I was pleasantly surprised. It’s a very fun, off-beat show with some really wacky characters. Ever since my binge, the wait between episodes feels like forever! Last week, David’s ex came to town under the premise that he was there to help Moira, but he ended up taking some compromising pictures that she quickly regretted, and so David helped his mother retrieve and destroy the photos. Elsewhere, Alexis worked off some of her public service hours by joining Doctor Ted in his volunteer work, dancing with some lonely old ladies. However, she soon learned that Ted still has feelings for her and that women were holding a grudge against her for breaking their beloved Ted’s heart. Meanwhile, Johnny suspected that Bob was cheating at their poker games, when in reality all the other players just had really easy tells. However, when Roland made his accusation known, this put Johnny in the dog house.

There are just a few episodes left this season, but the series has already been picked up for a fourth season, so there’s plenty more wackiness to come. This cast is so much fun. Dan Levy, the real-life and on-camera son of Eugue Levy, is hysterical as the neurotic David. Emily Hampshire, who I didn’t realize was also doing this show at the same time as 12 Monkeys, is also hilarious, and the way David and Stevie play off of one another is so much fun to watch. Plus, the series also includes amazing comedic talents of Eugene Levy, Catherine O’Hara, and Chris Elliott! If you haven’t checked out this show, you’re missing out! It’s time to head up Schitt’s Creek with your remote!

On tonight’s episode, “Stop Saying Lice!” Johnny battles the spread of lice in the motel; Moira tries to avoid having a flower garden named after her.

Find out if Johnny can best the buggies tonight on POP at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching/recording Designated Survivor, Survivor, Criminal Minds, Shots Fired, Empire, Arrow, The 100, Legion, The Magicians, The Expanse, and Major Crimes.

Blindspot returns tonight after a long break, and I am not so patiently waiting to find out what’s going to happen with Sandstorm. Every episode we have been slowly gearing towards the end game, which will hopefully answer the slew of questions we’ve had up until now. Although last episode we didn’t see much about Sandstorm, as it was more individual cases related to the tattoos, we did learn that Oliver changed his name in the past and Nas was choked out after picking up something from her contact. I really hope we move forward quickly from now on so we can get a decent answer about Sandstorm’s final plans before the season ends. It would be also nice to see Jane and Weller finally together as the couple they need to be.

On tonight’s episode, “Evil Did I Dwell, Lewd I Did Live,” with Nas’s help, Weller and Jane finally come face-to-face with Nas’s inside source within Sandstorm and square off with an old foe.

To find out if the team can make it out of this situation alive, tune in to NBC at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching Shots Fired, Criminal Minds, Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders, Cooks vs Cons, Chicago PD, and Law & Order: SVU.
