glee19smallLove or hate it, Glee is back for one final 13-episode season, and it kicks off with a two-hour premiere tonight! Last season, Mercedes broke up with Sam after she realized she could be holding him back; Blaine killed his performance for the showcase, and it looked like he and Kurt would have a promising future together; and Rachel completed her script for the “Untitled Rachel Berry Project.” By the end of the season, all of our New York City characters disbanded, each going his or her separate ways, agreeing to reunite in 6 months.

This show has certainly lost a lot of its luster over the past few seasons, but since I’ve already been with it this far, I’m certainly sticking with it until the end. I’m cautiously optimistic they may be able to turn things around in these final 13 episodes. Hopefully with the introduction of some new characters and a return to its glee-club roots, the series can find that magic it first had when the show premiered. It will be interesting to see how they wrap everything up, knowing that this is the final season.

On tonight’s episode, “Loser Like Me; Homecoming,” Rachel returns to Lima after her TV failure and discovers that Sue has banished arts at the high school, which Rachel sets out to rectify. Meanwhile, Puck, Quinn, Santana, Artie, Mercedes, Brittany, and Tina show up at McKinley for Homecoming and decide to pitch in and help Rachel recruit members for the resurrected glee club.

Check out the beginning of the final season tonight on FOX at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching/recording Undercover Boss, Cristela, Banshee, and Newsreaders.

archer18smallTonight, Archer returns for another season on FX. Last year, things took quite a drastic turn for our favorite, politically incorrect spies. ISIS was disbanded by the government, and Archer and the gang had to find a new way to make a living. So they took the huge stockpile of cocaine that was leftover from their previous missions, formed their own drug cartel, and soon found themselves the targets of other rival drug outfits. Meanwhile, Cheryl reinvented herself, becoming the hit country singer Cherlene, and Lana had a baby girl and revealed to Archer that he is the father.

In the end, we found out that the entire “Archer Vice” mission was really a deep-cover mission to assist the CIA. So where does that leave our favorite spies this season? Are they now working for the CIA? Will they form a new agency? (I can’t really see Archer working for the government.) And how will Archer and Lana having a baby together affect their relationship/work? I’m looking forward to another season of craziness!

On tonight’s season premiere, “The Holdout,” Archer must salvage a crashed plane.

See how the season starts tonight on FX at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching/recording The Big Bang Theory, Elementary, A to Z, Parenthood, and Babylon.

chicagopd17smallTo say I’m excited for the return of Chicago PD tonight would be an understatement—I am ecstatic. In the winter finale, Burgess got shot because her idiot partner was too busy arguing with his ex—then it went to a black screen as she was lying there struggling for her life. I’m honestly going to be so very sad if they kill her off, because I love her character and I really like her and Ruzek together as a couple. Also in the last episode, Lindsay announced she was leaving to head up her own unit and the team was supportive, even though I was very sad that she’d no longer be on Voight’s team. Whatever happens, thought, one thing is for sure… I can’t get enough of this show.

On tonight’s episode, “Shouldn’t Have Been Alone,” a routine check on a potential terrorist threat puts Burgess in the hospital and Intelligence on the case of a well-planned series of related crimes.

To see the fate of the feisty Burgess, tune in to NBC at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching black-ish, The Mentalist, People’s Choice Awards, Law & Order: SVU, Empire, and Wahlburgers.

cougartown16smallTonight is the final season premiere of the worst-named comedy on TV, Cougar Town. I love this show, and I’m both excited and saddened by tonight’s premiere. I’m excited because the show is really funny and because Travis & Laurie are having a baby. I’m sad because it’s the final season and because Bobby—Jules’s ex-husband & Travis’s dad—will leave the show after the premiere. The actor is “leaving to pursue other opportunities,” but how the character of Bobby Cobb will leave, I don’t have a clue. I’m sure he won’t die—talk about kill the rest of the season!—so maybe he gets a chance to tour for golf, or maybe he’s met a woman who wants him to travel with her… I just don’t know. I’m hoping he’ll be back for the series finale—or whenever Travis’s baby is born… I can’t see him missing his first grandchild’s birth. 🙁

On tonight’s episode, “American Dream Plan B,” Jules agrees to stop drinking wine during Laurie’s pregnancy, but the rest of the gang doesn’t agree, so Tom opens up his garage as a speakeasy. Meanwhile, Grayson prepares Travis for fatherhood with the help of a baby pig.

See how it goes for a sober Jules and how Bobby says goodbye to the Cul-de-Sac crew tonight on TBS at 10:30/9:30c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing MasterChef: Junior, NCIS, The Little Couple, NCIS: NOLA, Chopped, Forever, Ground Floor, Person of Interest, & Restaurant Redemption.

gotham15smallTonight, Gotham finally returns from a 6-week break. When we were last in the city, a group of would-be assassins made their way into Wayne Manor—while Alfred confronted the assailants, Selina and Bruce escaped out the back. Elsewhere, Falcone threatened Cobblepot to identify the mole in his organization and later executed one of his men in front of Fish and the other bosses as a show of force. Meanwhile, Dent admitted to Gordon that he leaked the information about Selina being a witness. Gordon confronted Lovecraft—who ordered the hit—but as he was in the middle of telling Gordon that the Wayne killings were just a small part of a much bigger conspiracy, he was killed by an assassin. Gordon was blamed for allowing the murder to happen and was demoted from police detective to security guard at Arkham Asylum.

Someone seems to have it in for Gordon—first he was basically handed over to armed assailants inside the precinct, and now this. Is this all part of the larger conspiracy hinted at in the last episode? Who is behind all of this? How and when will Gordon get his old job back? Or will he find a way to use this new position to investigate what’s really going on in Gotham?

On tonight’s episode, “Rogues’ Gallery,” a guard is murdered at Arkham Asylum as Det. Gordon begins his assignment there. Meanwhile, Cobblepot continues to build his army. Morena Baccarin, Drew Powell, Allyce Beasley, David Zayas, Isiah Whitlock Jr., Christopher Heyerdahl, & Kyle Massey guest star.

See if Det. Gordon can solve the guard’s murder tonight on FOX at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching/recording State of Affairs, Sleepy Hollow, and Major Crimes.
