On the previous episode of SEAL Team, the team jumped out of the plane in order to hike to their target, but Ray’s chute didn’t open. It took a while for them to figure out that his backup HAD opened, but they believed he’d landed in enemy territory. The higher-ups said to finish their objective and Ray would meet them at the exit point. But Jason and the others talked to Blackburn and got the okay to go into enemy territory and find him. It was a very good thing they did, because it wasn’t long before he was found and on the run. Although I did love him hanging in the tree and trying not to move while the two men were below him. If it weren’t for the dang knife he’d dropped! While on the run, Ray sneaked into a small village (which made me very happy to live where I do…) and ended up taking a woman hostage when she walked into her home and found him. He threatened her life if she yelled out to the other villagers, but his crisis of faith finally came to a head when (I think?) she started praying. He realized he couldn’t just execute her, that if this was God’s plan, then he’d either get caught or escape before she could alert them. He finally let her go and ran out the back, and just before he could get captured or killed, his team appeared. Then Mandy spoke to her counterpart in that area and was able to convince her (ie: bribe her with the leaked location of a terrorist her country wanted, even though Mandy giving her the location would be without her boss’s boss’s boss’s or whatever consent) to send in a rescue helicopter to grab the team – and grab them they did. They lowered a rope, and each member clipped themselves to it, and off it went, the team flying on the rope in a row below it! It was awesome.

Other big news was Stella came to visit Clay to see how he was doing. He told her all about Swanny and the fight he’s now undertaken on Swanny’s behalf. It was a good visit, and I actually have hope that MAYBE there will be a reunion between the two of them. Clay also visited his father in the hopes that maybe his dad will take the fight on himself and use his position at the public access TV to help out. And FINALLY, Lisa went to visit her sister in order to invite her to her OCS graduation, and the visit didn’t go well. Her sister blames her for their other sister’s death, and she was kind of a witch to Lisa. She didn’t show at the graduation, which meant Lisa had no one there to support her and see her graduate…until Clay slid into the reserved seat. It was a sweet moment.

So tonight’s finale… Stella and Ash Spencer are back, so hopefully we’ll see some movement on the Clay/Stella and Clay/Swanny’s medal/TBIs fronts. And Commander Shaw is back, which means he’s still going to try to split up the team. I mean, even if he does, it can’t last, since without the team, there wouldn’t be a show, and it’s already been renewed for next season. Still… I hope if he does split them up, it doesn’t last long into next season!

On tonight’s episode, “Never Out of the Fight,” Bravo team’s future is on the line when Commander Shaw recommends they be split up, but Jason’s unit has one final mission to prove him wrong.

Find out Commander Shaw’s decision tonight on CBS at 10/9c.

After the deep space time travel adventures of last year, there have been some lineup changes on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., which made its season six debut last week. After all, both Coulson and at least one version of Fitz are dead for starters. The team is overall split into two as well, with a space unit and the rest of the team guarding over Earth. Daisey & Jemma are running a skeleton crew on their deep space search for the cryogenically frozen Fitz. They have been off Earth for a half year and fear Fitz could be dead, as the ship he was stored on was split in half.

Back on the third rock from the sun, there was an inter-dimensional breach by a guy who was able to shoot down May’s aircraft. His friend, who was also crossing into our dimension, got trapped in concrete. Mack was the new director, but he was guided by an AI that projected to him as Hologram Coulson. May introduced Mack to her friend Dr. Marcus Benson to try to recruit him to head a new S.H.I.E.L.D. academy. They also needed better science expertise with Jemma & Fitz off world. In space, Jemma found the origin of Fitz’s cryogenic pod that they found, broken in the wreckage of his ship. She wanted to go straight there, but the rest of the crew was homesick and wanted to at least regroup first. They were attacked by much larger ships though, and Jemma seized upon the moment to enter the co-ordinates of where she believed Fitz went.

From the guy who got frozen in concrete, the people on Earth got the co-ordinates of where the extra-dimensional travelers leader, Sarge, was going to come through. He croaked a cryptic warning before finally dying also. They got to the museum where the breach was about to occur, but the invaders destroyed the building and a whole Fury Road-styled 18-wheel truck blasted through a portal and almost killed May. The big reveal: this Sarge guy was a Coulson lookalike with no memory or knowledge of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Whut?? Crai. So Coulson died, but dude came back as two versions of himself anyway?? You go, girl. No, but seriously, this show is always fun, and this season is going to be a quicker ride than we are used to – it is only a 13-episode summer run. So far it seems as promising as any of the other marvelous recent seasons. MCU marches forth!

Oh, and our last reveal of last episode was that Fitz is indeed alive and working in some workshop with aliens, speaking in their language.

On tonight’s episode, “Window of Opportunity,” while Fitz and Enoch struggle in space, Sarge and his team move forward with their mysterious mission on Earth.

See Fitz’s struggle tonight on ABC at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching Doom Patrol. There’s only two more episodes of that, so #ketchup. Also, check out The New Negroes on Comedy Central, featuring Open Mike Eagle, who I interviewed a few summers ago!

When a big, long-running show ends, it usually marks the end of an era, and that’s truly the case with tonight’s series finale of The Big Bang Theory. All season, we’ve been seeing repeat guest stars, story lines wrapping, and the show preparing the characters and the audience for the end. That’s why getting advance notice of a series ending is so important. That doesn’t mean everything will wrap up with a nice and tidy bow. As of last week, Raj is single again. Sure, he may have a “meet cute,” romance-movie moment where he meets a woman and it looks like she’s the one. But that’s all it’ll be, since we won’t get to see their relationship grow like we have the others – including Stuart and Denise, who said their I-love-yous and agreed to move in together last week! I do hope we at least see Raj get his “moment,” though. And surely one of the characters will be pregnant… Will it be Amy & Sheldon? We know both are open to and/or want kids. Or will it be Penny & Leonard, who are on opposite sides of that wish? Or…will no one end the show with another kiddo on the way? Will Sheldon & Amy win the Nobel Prize? Surely they will, right? Now that Leonard’s relationship with his mom is in as good a place as it can be, there’s no other parental relationship up in the air…except for Howard’s father. Will the series end without so much as a single visit? Or maybe a repeat visit from his surprise brother, who we’ve only seen and heard of that one episode? Ahhh! So much to think of and only an hour left…

Of course, then after the Young Sheldon finale, there’s the half-hour special, where we get a look back at the show, so if you’re a fan, you won’t want to miss it!

On tonight’s first episode, “The Change Constant,” Sheldon and Amy await big news.

Then on “The Stockholm Syndrome,” Bernadette and Wolowitz leave their kids for the first time; Penny and Leonard try to keep a secret; Sheldon and Amy stick together; and Koothrappali makes a new friend, as the gang travels together into an uncharted future.

Later tonight, on “Unraveling the Mystery: a Big Bang Farewell,” actors Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco host a retrospective look at the show, sharing backstage secrets, unforgettable clips, personal memories and favorite moments; features tours of the iconic sets.

Don’t miss the exciting and emotional 1-hour series finale starting at 8/7c and the 30-minute special at 9:31/8:31c, both on CBS.

The Halloween heist episodes of Brooklyn Nine-Nine are always fun, and tonight, there’s a special heist episode in the same vein, which is why it’s my pick tonight. Last week, Gina contacted Jake and asked him and Terry to come to her place. She’s become an internet superstar “influencer” and hadn’t been in touch much at all since leaving the 99, so Terry was a little upset about it. Jake tried to convince him to give her a chance. When they got there, they had to wait while she filmed some weird “Gina as Moses” bit, but then she told them that she had an appearance coming up and the people behind it were threatening to close it down if she didn’t get a police presence because she’d gotten some death threats. During the guarding, Jake learned Gina had canceled on drinks with them for work and got upset. But in the end, after Gina was stabbed in the back by the husband of a woman who took Gina’s “advice” and left him because he concentrated more on parkour than her, she and Jake made up. Meanwhile, the side stories were Holt convincing Boyle that his son was a genius (when it turned out Nikolaj was just drawing a superhero logo and not solving a big math problem) and Amy trying to convince Rosa she could ask for help when she was trying to handle everything on her own with both of her hands out of commission. Both were fun story lines.

On tonight’s episode, “Cinco de Mayo,” in order to distract Terry from the stress of his upcoming lieutenant’s exam, Jake, Holt, and the squad decide to hold the annual Halloween heist on a new date, Cinco de Mayo.

See who wins this new heist tonight on NBC at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing The Big Bang Theory, Beat Bobby Flay, Impractical Jokers, & S.W.A.T.

Tonight is the season finale of both The Goldbergs and its spinoff, Schooled on ABC. This season on The Goldbergs, Erica has been lost, after she dropped out of college and her dreams of becoming a professional singer fell flat. Just in the last few weeks, she made the decision to go back to college. And Barry, who has been a goof his whole life but who finally realized he wants to be a doctor, finally put his butt in gear and did what he needed to do to apply to colleges. Last week, they found out both had been accepted into Penn, and that caused a lot of stress between the two. Barry was happy because he thought it was going to be his time to shine without being in Erica’s shadow, but Erica was excited because she’d been worried Penn wouldn’t accept her after her year of failure. In the end, they decided the campus was big enough for both of them. Meanwhile last week, Adam told Beverly he hated her after she tried to get him to pose with her for a Mother’s Day photo after Barry and Erica wiggled their way out of it. Adam went to see Willow with Dave Kim instead, and Beverly told him she was done with him. She didn’t wake him for school and didn’t remind him to wear his glasses, so he was late and his lazy eye creeped everyone out. In the end, of course, they made up. Tonight is Barry’s graduation. They made it work with Erica after she graduated, but how will they conceivably make it where Adam is the only kid left? It hasn’t been renewed yet, but it should be, so it’ll be interesting to see where they take it!

Then on Schooled, it’s taken a while, but Lainey’s turned out to be a decent teacher, even though I’m still not sure how she was qualified to be hired in the first place! Last week, Coach Mellor and Ms. Taraborelli were at odds when a computer was brought in and they talked about putting together a school website. Glascott tried to bring them together, and in the end, it all worked out and a great website went up. But also, Lainey worked with a female student on a song for the talent show, but the girl was really shy and could only sing alone if Lainey were there. Unfortunately, Lainey was planning to skip the talent show in order to perform at a local show in order to get noticed herself. It was no surprise when she showed up at the talent show just in time for her student. And CB was going to tell her how he felt, but when he and Lainey walked out of the school together…Barry was suddenly there to surprise her. That’ll be interesting going into tonight’s season finale, especially since the show hasn’t been renewed and it could go either way! I love CB, but I mean…is there anyone who isn’t rooting for Barry and Lainey??

On tonight’s The Goldbergs, “Breakin’,” when Adam unintentionally lets it slip that Barry never completed his community service requirement, the brothers join together to throw the greatest breakdancing battle in the history of William Penn. Geoff’s stress levels are at an all-time high, so Erica makes an adult decision and plans for them to follow the Grateful Dead all summer. Finally, it’s the end of an era when the JTP graduates from high school.

Then on tonight’s Schooled, “Dr. Barry,” after initially trying to sabotage him, CB works with Barry and the JTP to help him win back Lainey’s heart. Meanwhile, Glascott faces removal as principal after a prank damages William Penn Academy.

Don’t miss the (hopefully just season) finales tonight on ABC starting at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Chicago Med, The Amazing Race, Chicago Fire, Dinner Takes All, Gone, Guy’s Grocery Games, Modern Family, Single Parents, Best Room Wins, Chicago PD, SEAL Team, & Whiskey Cavalier.
