whoseline2016smallWe’ve had a bunch of finales the last couple of weeks, so it’ll be my great pleasure to watch a premiere instead, and there isn’t a better one right now than Whose Line Is It Anyway? on The CW. And there have been a LOT of remakes of shows, both with new characters and story lines and ones that just continue from where they left off. I was oh-so-thankful when they brought this one back, especially since they kept three of the funniest and most talented men on television: Wayne Brady, Colin Mochrie, and Ryan Stiles. If you haven’t seen the show, the basic premise is this: the performers are given a setting, style, or other instructions and have to come up with the funniest improve performances they can dream up – and what they dream up is AMAZING. It never fails to blow my mind just how creative and brilliant these performers are.

On tonight’s first episode, the guest comic is Gary Anthony Williams, while Alfonso Ribeiro also guests. Then on the second episode, the always fantastic Keegan-Michael Key guests.

Check out the always funny performances tonight on The CW at 9/8c & 9:30/8:30c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Kids BBQ Championship, Person of Interest, & Blindspot.

royalpains518smallI’m so happy because tonight is the season premiere of Royal Pains. On the season finale last July, all our favorite characters had big story lines. Hank came face to face with his ex-fiance, Nikki. Throughout the course of the episode, we got to see Hank’s memory of their breakup and then watched as he realized he had been remembering it wrong all this time. Maybe he can really move forward now that he isn’t completely blaming Nikki. Poor Divya lost her grandmother, but she also made the decision that she was going to go to school to become a doctor AND she and Raj met up again, and once he said that his marriage was over, he and Divya both admitted they still loved each other, he proposed, and she accepted! And finally… Evan and Paige were all set to adopt a young girl’s baby, but once she went into labor and Paige reunited her with her mother, they realized that Elan was ready to become a mother, so they bowed out of the adoption.

So where do they all go from there? Will Hank find love? Will Divya still be able to work with Hank Med AND go to school to become a doctor, and will she and Raj make a go of it? And what about Paige and Evan? Will they find a baby to adopt or will they get a miracle and be able to have their own? Whatever is coming for them all, I can’t wait to watch and find out!

On tonight’s episode, “Stranger Danger,” Hank treats a politician while Jeremiah enlists Divya’s help. Hank and Evan react very differently when Eddie returns to the Hamptons, and Divya’s future plans hit a roadblock. Henry Winkler guest stars.

Catch the premiere tonight on USA Network at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Rosewood, The Goldbergs, Law & Order: SVU, Modern Family, black-ish, & Chicago PD.

ncis517smallTonight is Tony’s last hurrah on NCIS. I do hope he’ll be in it more than he’s been the previous three episodes! Last week, the manhunt for Jacob Scott continued, but there were a lot of twists and turns. First, an old “friend,” CIA agent Trent Kort (who worked undercover with La Grenouille, blew Tony’s cover to Jeanne, and lost his eye to the Port-to-Port killer), showed up at the latest victim’s house. He and new-guy-next-season Clayton Reeves, thought the other was the killer. Scott was shown on video searching for…Ziva David, which of course freaked out Tony and the rest of the team, especially when Tony tried calling her and her cell phone had been disconnected and she didn’t respond to his emails. Then…Scott showed up at NCIS, saying he’d been framed and hadn’t killed anyone. He said he was looking for Ziva because his dead wife had left a note at the safe house saying that Ziva’s father had files proving Scott had been set up. After Abby analyzed blood found on the latest victim’s clothing, it proved that the REAL killer was…Trent Kort! THEN, the episode ended with the team thinking they needed to follow Kort to Israel to warn Ziva, only to see on the news that there was an explosion…at the David farmhouse. Eek!

So will Ziva make a surprise appearance? It happened on ER. George Clooney, who swore he wasn’t returning for Julianna Margulies’s final episode, as did the show itself, turned up as a total shocker to fans. Both the show and Cote de Pablo herself have sworn that she won’t be back, but…will she? Personally, I want Tony with Jeanne, but I know a TON of fans want him to ride off into the sunset with Ziva. Whatever happens, I just hope it’s worthy of his 13 years on the show. (Just FYI… The episode description for tonight is VERY vague and…well, wrong, but it’s literally the only description I could find on my DVR and four different websites!)

On tonight’s season finale, “Family First,” NCIS, FBI and MI6 continue an international manhunt for an escaped British spy who is targeting current and former agents. Robert Wagner, Sarah Clarke, & Duane Henry guest star.

See Tony’s final episode tonight on CBS at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Chopped Junior, The Real O’Neals, Chicago Med, NCIS: NOLA, Chicago Fire, Chopped, & Person of Interest.

mikemolly516smallIt’s been a long road for Mike & Molly, but the journey ends tonight, with the double-episode series finale. The last few episodes have focused on Molly and Mike and their quest to adopt a baby. Last week, they learned that Frannie (Molly’s former student who was now homeless and pregnant) planned to dance on a speaker for a friend’s band after she had the baby, which Molly was very unhappy about. So Molly did some snooping in Frannie’s bag and found a letter from her sister, Maura. She got the bright idea to invite Maura to see Frannie. At first Frannie was mad and refused to speak to Maura because she’d left Frannie with their horrible parents, but the pair eventually made up, and Maura said she wanted Frannie AND the baby to move in with her. That was great for them but bad for Molly and Mike, who wouldn’t get to adopt her baby. Then in the next episode, they decided to try with an adoption agency. It went well…until they had to schedule a home visit. Mike invited Carl and Samuel over in order to have the “black friend” and “foreign friend” demographic covered, and Molly tried her best to make everyone and everything picture perfect. Of course, things went sideways, especially when Mike tried to lean on the crib, only to decapitate the baby doll when the side dropped. Needless to say, they didn’t get to adopt a baby through that agency.

We’ve been with Mike and Molly and their families from the very first meeting, to dating, marriage, and now them trying to start a family. So how will the series end? I’ve seen both episodes, and it really is a fun, sweet, and fitting ending. I’ll be sad to see the show go after tonight.

On tonight’s first episode, “Curse of the Bambino,” Carl convinces Mike to go with him to see his psychic and Peggy drags Molly to her church to pray for something they’ve all been waiting for. Melissa McCarthy directed the episode. Then on the series finale, “I See Love,” Mike and Molly gather with family and friends for a momentous occasion and reminisce about everything that led to this point.

See if Mike and Molly can get everything they want tonight on CBS starting at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Person of Interest & Blindspot.

hawaiifiveo513smallOn last week’s Hawaii Five-0, Chin learned some shocking news: he’s an uncle! It was a shock to everyone to learn that Gabriel had a young daughter. (In case you don’t remember, Chin was married to Gabriel’s sister until she was killed.) Chin found out about the girl when her mother was killed while she was at a neighbor’s house at a sleepover. Then she was kidnapped by Michelle Shioma’s (one bad, cold woman…) people in order to draw Gabriel out to Shioma, and the gang had to find her. Unfortunately, in the process, they killed the man who they believed would turn on Shioma, which meant they still couldn’t arrest her! Ugh!

Tonight is a double-episode season finale. We’re still in the middle of the Gabriel story line, which hopefully will be resolved tonight. Unfortunately, I don’t think Adam is in either story, which means he’ll still be in prison by season’s end (and I’m assuming at the beginning of next season). I don’t like that… I would love to see him and Kono get to start their HEA!

On tonight’s first episode, “Pa’a ka ‘ipuka i ka ‘upena nananana (The Entrance is Stopped with a Spider’s Web),” trapped inside a dilapidated building in Oahu’s Chinatown, Five-0 must protect a wounded Gabriel (Christopher Sean) and plan their escape when enemy gunmen storm the building looking to kill him and anyone who gets in their way.

Then on the season finale, “O ke ali’I wale no ka’u makemake (My Desire is Only for the Chief),” in order to stop a meth epidemic on the Island, McGarrett and Danny go undercover as pilots, but when McGarrett is seriously wounded, Danny is forced to break their cover in order to save his partner’s life. Duane “Dog” Chapman guest stars.

See how the season ends tonight on CBS starting at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Grimm.
