Tonight is the TV movie Christmas Unwrapped on Lifetime at 8/7c. It follows Charity (Amber Stevens West), an ambitious reporter, who learns the true meaning of Christmas when she investigates Erik Gallagher (Marco Grazzini), a beloved member of the town who insists all the gifts he provides are from none-other than Santa himself. Cheryl Ladd also stars.
 
Also tonight is the TV movie Jingle Bell Bride on Hallmark at 8/7c. Wedding planner Jessica Perez (Julie Gonzalo) travels to a remote town in Alaska to find a rare flower for a celebrity client and is charmed by the small town during Christmas, as well as the handsome local (Ronnie Rowe Jr.) helping her.
 
Tonight is also a 1-hour Clint Eastwood: Hollywood Outlaw special on Reelz at 8/7c. Clint Eastwood has a career spanning over six decades and is considered by many as one of the most successful actors ever; but transitioning into an A-list director was a different type of journey.
 
Tonight is also the TV movie Christmas Tree Lane: Miracles of Christmas on HMM at 9/8c. Music store owner Meg (Alicia Witt) spearheads the community effort to save the Christmas Tree Lane shopping district from demolition. As she finds herself falling for Nate (Andrew Walker), a recent acquaintance, she’s thrown when she learns his surprising tie to the developer. It also stars Briana Price & Drake Hogestyn.
 
Finally, tonight is the 2-hour special The Battle of Alctraz on Reelz at 9/8c. They’re desperate. Violent. And determined to do what no convict has ever done before – escape Alcatraz, America’s toughest maximum security prison. Five inmates plot to steal prison guns, take guards hostage, and hijack a boat.

Tonight is David Byrne’s American Utopia on HBO at 8/7c. The special event, directed by Spike Lee, presents a one-of-a-kind, dynamic film that gives audiences access to Byrne’s electrifying critically acclaimed Broadway show that played to sold-out, record-breaking audiences. The filmed version was recorded during its late 2019 to early 2020 run at Broadway’s Hudson Theatre in New York City. Talking Heads frontman David Byrne is joined by an ensemble of 11 musicians, singers, and dancers from around the globe, inviting audiences into a joyous dreamworld where human connection, self-evolution, and social justice are paramount.
 
Tonight is also the 2-part, 4-hour The Story of the Royals special on Reelz starting at 8/7c. The mystique and history of the monarchy as it draws international interest this spring with a new royal baby and the introduction of Meghan Markle, the first American to marry into the British royal family since Wallis Simpson in 1937.
 
Tonight is the TV movie Sweet Autumn on Hallmark at 9/8c. Maggie (Nikki DeLoach, Awkward, The Jury), a successful entrepreneur, returns home for a will reading and discovers she’s inherited half of her aunt’s famed maple candy business. What she doesn’t understand is why Aunt Dee’s (Henriette Ivanans) maple supplier, Dex (Andrew Walker, Against the Wall, Maybe It’s Me), inherited the other half. Her return also coincides with the town’s Sweet Autumn Fest, and through a series of letters Aunt Dee left, Maggie and Dex search for the reason behind her aunt’s final wishes. As she and Dex grow closer, Maggie must decide if the life she built is the one she wants.
 
Tonight is 1-hour Holy Calamavote special on Cartoon Network/Adult Swim at 12AM/11PMc. A special performance by Run the Jewels.

Tonight is the TV movie My Best Friend’s Bouquet on Hallmark at 9/8c. According to Josie Hughes’ (Chaley Rose, A Christmas Duet, Dinner for Two) family lore, the wedding bouquet always finds the right person. When single Josie catches her friend Emma’s (Luisa d’Oliveira, Channel Zero, Cracked) bouquet instead of their not-single friend Athena (Rebecca Olson), she fears she’s ruined Athena’s chances of getting engaged. When Josie starts dating an eligible bachelor she met at the reception, she decides the bouquet is at work. What she doesn’t know is her long-time friend Alex (Nathan Witte, Merry Liddle Christmas Wedding) secretly holds a torch for her. As Josie clings to the notion that the bouquet is always right, she’s missing real-world signs that her perfect match has been in front of her all along.
 
Tonight is a 1-hour Dating Game Killer special on Reelz at 10/9c. Although Rodney Alcala was sentenced to death for raping and murdering 8 young girls and women, authorities estimate that Rodney may have killed up to 130. Posing as a photographer, the pedophile would lure young women by asking them to model.

Saturday is the season premiere of Saturday Night Live on NBC at 11:29/10:29c, with host Chris Rock and musical guest Megan Thee Stallion.

Tonight is the TV movie Country at Heart on Hallmark at 9/8c. Jessy Schram (Falling Skies), Niall Matter (Eureka), and Lucas Bryant (Haven) star. Struggling Nashville singer/songwriter Shayna Cook (Schram) is on the verge of giving up on her career and returns to her small-town home of Silverado just as their local music festival is about to kick off, when a chance encounter with prolific songwriter Grady Connor (Matter) changes everything. He’s trying to write a song for country music star Duke Sterling (Bryant) and Shayna seems like the perfect writing partner. Shayna and Grady grow close and romance blooms as they work on their love song but when she meets Duke, he begins to see her star potential and asks her to be his opening act at the upcoming festival. Although this seems like the opportunity of a lifetime for Shayna, the contentious history between Duke and Grady threatens to undermine everything she and Grady created. As her big break at the music festival approaches, Shayna feels forced to choose between love and possible stardom. Featured in the movie are musical performances by each of the three lead actors, including the original songs “Big Deal,” “A Life in a Love,” and “Right in Front of You,” all written specifically for the movie.

Saturday is the series premiere of Magical Girl Friendship Squad on Syfy at 12AM/11PMc. When a little red panda named Nut (Ana Gasteyer, Suburgatory, Grease: Live, Saturday Night Live) arrives in the apartment of two directionless twenty-somethings and gives them the ability to transform into badass magical girls, Alex (Quinta Brunson, The End of the World As We Know It, Jazor Wulf) and Daisy (Anna Akana) are forced to get their shit together in order to save the Universe from otherworldly threats. Through a journey of love and friendship and with the help of their magical objects (birth control and a bong), Alex and Daisy learn to wield their new powers and protect their mysterious panda friend who claims to be the creator of the Universe. It also stars Christine Baranski (The Good Wife, The Good Fight), Daisy Hobbs, Eric Bauza, Helen Hong, Jamie Loftus, Jason Mantzoukas (Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Invincible), Manny Jacinto (The Good Place), Matteo Lane, Paget Brewster (Criminal Minds, Grandfathered, Down Dog), Patti Harrison, Sarah “Squirm” Sherman, Stephanie Sheh, Taylor Ortega (Kim Possible, This Country), & Vella Lovell (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Mr. Mayor).

Bang!, Bad Advice from My Brother), self-care loving panda Debbie (SkittLeZ Ortiz) and energy drink-guzzling sloth Viv (Natalie Palamides). Together, they come up with elaborate schemes to entertain themselves and just keep from going insane. From taking trips to a mutant-infested mall for hood ornaments to stumbling upon an old broadcast studio and creating their own shows, these critters are always up to something.

Tonight is also the TV movie Love at Look Lodge on Hallmark at 9/8c. Lily (Clark Backo), an activities director at a cozy mountain hotel, is tasked with helping a handsome workaholic, Noah (Jonathan Keltz), finish planning his sister’s wedding. Determined to make the wedding a success, Lily spends quality time with Noah in order to show him what really matters in life — LOVE!
