Last week’s The Big Bang Theory was really great. Sheldon was stressing big-time as he tried to plan the perfect wedding, starting with the wedding date. He couldn’t settle on one because everything he tried turned out to be the birth or death date of a famous scientist, a “con” of some sort, or something similar. It was so bad that he was working it out through his subconscious while he slept, becoming completely unlike himself – laid-back, unopinionated, etc. And when he showed up at home looking like something wet the cat dragged in after pulling it through the mud, he just looked pitiful. In the end, he agreed gratefully to let Amy take control – again unlike him but showing his growth through the series. The other story line was Bernie’s new coworker, who both Raj and Stuart wanted to pair up with. Raj’s thought that he should get her because they were both Indian was hysterical, but poor Stuart is just…well, pitiful. In the end, they both acted like asses and neither got the girl. Surprise, surprise. LOL

On tonight’s episode, “The Explosion Implosion,” Wolowitz and Sheldon bond when they drive to the desert to shoot off a model rocket. Also, when Leonard’s mom, Beverly (Christine Baranski), finds a new best friend in Penny, it rubs Leonard the wrong way.

Find out why Leonard gets upset tonight on CBS at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Dancing with the Stars, 9JKL, The Gifted, Halloween Baking Championship, Halloween Wars, Scorpion, & The Brave.

My favorite new show so far this season is NBC’s The Brave. I’m loving Mike Vogel as Dalton, but the dynamic of the whole team together is great. The premise is a lot of fun too. I’ve loved last week’s episode, where a bad-ass female CIA officer walked into the undercover CIA office in the Russian-stronghold portion of Ukraine to find her two coworkers shot to death and bad guys still in the office. She ended up taking them all out herself even after being shot. During the hour, she was kidnapped and stabbed, but she rocked it, able to keep herself pretty damn safe until Dalton and his team arrived. We also learned a surprising fact about Noah, in that he was top of his class at “spy school.” One thing I was disappointed about was that after the major cliffhanger of the premiere, where the bad guy drove the truck bomb onto the beach where the team had been hanging out and playing soccer with the kids, we didn’t jump back into that story line. In fact, we only got one mention of it at all, where we learned that there had been deaths and injuries of some of the civilians. It was kind of a letdown. Other than that, I’m really enjoying the show, as is my family.

On tonight’s episode, “The Greater Good,” after receiving intel that a serious player in dealing international arms, Ranier Boothe (guest star Andrew Howard), will be visiting Caborca, Mexico, Patricia makes a controversial decision that could lead to a big breakthrough. With Dalton’s team on the ground, they must find a weak link in Boothe’s men in order to carry out the mission. Meanwhile, Noah learns about Hannah’s complicated past in the field.

Find out more about Hannah’s past and see if Dalton’s team can take down some arms dealers tonight on NBC at 10:01/9:01c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing The Big Bang Theory, Dancing with the Stars, 9JKL, The Gifted, Halloween Baking Championship, Halloween Wars, Scorpion, & The Good Doctor.

Tonight, Supergirl returns from its holiday hiatus. When we last left off, CADMUS had unleashed its deadly Project Medusa virus, which had originally been created by Kara’s father as a precautionary weapon to kill all non-Kryptonians but has now been altered to eliminate all non-humans. A small-scale test of the weapon left Mon-El infected and Eliza looking for a cure. Supergirl tried to stop Lillian from dispersing more of the virus, but she arrived too late – Lena had already launched the rocket. However, it turned out that Lena was only pretending to help her mother and that she had replaced the virus with an inert gas. Elsewhere, J’onn was locked in a battle with Cyborg Superman and was forced to use his White Martian mutation to defeat him. At the end of the episode, Alex finally got a chance to come out to her sister, just before Kara was whisked off by Barry Allen and Cisco for her big DC crossover adventure.

How will Kara’s other-earthly adventures affect her now that she’s back on her own Earth? Can Lena be trusted – is there really such a thing as a good Luthor? Has J’onn finally accepted the fact that he’s going to become a White Martian, or will he continue to look for ways to fight the mutation? I really enjoy Supergirl because it is one of the lighter, more fun shows in The CW’s DC lineup. The series has already been renewed for a third season, so there’s plenty more fun adventures for Kara to come.

On tonight’s episode, “Supergirl Lives,” the story of a missing woman named Izzy moves Kara to investigate, even though Snapper Carr has told her to leave the matter alone. When Kara and Mon-El check out the last place Izzy was seen, they end up thrust through a portal to another planet, where the downtrodden are sold as slaves as part of a trafficking ring run by Roulette. Meanwhile, Alex blames herself – and her new relationship with Maggie – for her sister’s disappearance.

Find out how Kara gets home tonight on The CW at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching/recording Quantico, Man With a Plan, The Celebrity Apprentice, Timeless, Gotham, Lucifer, Jane the Virgin, Beyond, and The Young Pope.

supergirl1128smallTonight, The CW kicks off its epic four-night “Heroes v Aliens” crossover event, beginning with Supergirl. Last week, Mon-El had been abducted by Lillian Luthor, and when Kara tried to save him, she was confronted by the real Hank, who had been turned into a cyborg by CADMUS. In her efforts to save Mon-El, Kara lost her powers. Lillian utilized this opportunity to collect a sample of Kara’s blood and then took off, leaving Kara and Mon-El in their cells to die. However, Jeremiah Danvers made a surprise re-appearance just in time to rescue them. Meanwhile, Guardian was being blamed for evil happenings in the city, and James had to clear his alter-ego’s name; and J’onn discovered that M’gann was really a White Martian (the Green Martians have a longstanding feud with the White Martians) and that the blood she transfused into him will eventually transform him into a White Martian as well.

What does Lillian plan to do with Kara’s blood? How will becoming a White Martian change J’onn, and is it too late to stop the process? I’m really excited for this week’s massive 4-series crossover. These crossovers are the main reason why I’m still watching all of these series. In the past we’ve seen Supergirl interact with Barry, but that was in Earth 3, so I’m curious to see how her world will collide with the other series. I’m also interested in what this “Heroes v Aliens” title means, especially given that Kara is herself an alien. The action starts tonight and then continues the following three nights with The Flash, Arrow, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.

On tonight’s Supergirl midseason finale/crossover premiere, “Medusa,” a superhero crossover event begins with Barry Allen and Cisco Ramon from The Flash seeking Kara’s help with an alien invasion; at the same time, Eliza comes to town to celebrate Thanksgiving with her daughters, which seems like the perfect opportunity for Alex to come out to her mother. Meanwhile, Winn and James consider telling Kara the truth about the Guardian; and Kara wants to team up with Lena Luthor to combat a deadly virus unleashed by CADMUS.

Check out the start of the crossover event tonight on The CW at 8/7c.

I’ll also be watching/recording Timeless, Gotham, Lucifer, Jane the Virgin, and People of Earth.

scorpion1114smallLast week’s Scorpion was pretty fun. It was election day, and the FBI showed up and asked for Scorpion’s help…but Walter was forced to stay back (and keep an eye on Ralph) because his immigration status was under suspicion. Needless to say, he didn’t like that one bit. The rest of the team figured out that someone had hacked into and was screwing with the votes. In the end, Walt and Ralph escaped their FBI babysitter and helped the team figure out it was people from the Chinese embassy. With the US election in chaos and no president-elect called because of it, it would benefit the Chinese. Toby was great in this one, from his one-liners to how he took over the TV interview and helped talk down the Chinese.

On a personal note, things were all over the map for them all. It seems like Paige and Tim are getting closer (*gag*), so much so that he’s now introduced both her and Ralph to his parents. Ralph told Paige that her happiness is most important, so it’s fine with him if Tim becomes his stepfather, even though he wants Walter to be it instead. But with the rest of the team throwing relationship stats at her about meeting the parents being a precursor to an engagement, Paige seemed like she was freaking out a little. (Thank goodness. Maybe that relationship will be over soon!) And on a very sad note, Happy had to tell Toby that she wasn’t pregnant after all, that her blood test had been a false positive. She broke down, nearly destroying the awesome mechanical crib she’d built, telling him she was looking forward to waiting for her child after school, unlike when she grew up in the orphanage and had no one waiting for her. Toby promised her that they would have that family. She tried to tell Toby she wanted some alone time, but when he went to walk away, he shocked her by turning and getting down on one knee. Since the President of the United States had been so thankful that he’d gotten Walter’s citizenship approved, Happy was free and clear to say yes to the proposal, knowing she and Walt could get a divorce. So among the sadness was a happiness and relief for them both.

On tonight’s episode, “Sly and the Family Stone,” when Team Scorpion travels to Ireland for Megan’s one-year memorial, Walter discovers that a nearby lake’s natural disaster has created a poisonous cloud that could kill everyone in the village. Also, Cabe and Toby try to alleviate the tension between Tim and Walter.

See how Team Scorpion saves the village tonight on CBS at 10/9c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing Chopped, Kevin Can Wait, Man With a Plan, 2 Broke Girls, Cake Wars, & Conviction.
