zoo630smallI’m so excited about tonight! CBS’s latest thriller, Zoo, starts tonight. Based on the book by James Patterson, the show is about a wave of violent animal attacks against humans all over the globe. Jackson Oz — a young renegade American zoologist, played by James Wolk — begins to see a link between the animal attacks and his late father’s dubious theories about looming threats to humans. Kristen Connolly stars as L.A. news reporter Jamie Campbell, while Billy Burke plays Mitch Morgan, off-kilter veterinarian. Finally, Nora Arnezeder stars as Chloe Tousignant, a French investigator who meets Oz in Africa. As the assaults occurring worldwide become more cunning, coordinated, and ferocious, Oz and the others are thrust into the race to unlock the mystery of the pandemic before there’s no place left for people to hide.

On tonight’s episode, “First Blood,” Jackson Oz, an American ex-pat safari guide living in Africa, discovers a link between strange animal attacks on people occurring around the world and his late father’s controversial theories about an impending threat to the human race. Meanwhile, journalist Jamie Campbell and veterinary pathologist Mitch Morgan team up to investigate similar abnormal animal behavior in Los Angeles.

Check out this fun thriller tonight on CBS at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching/DVRing FIFA Women’s World Cup, America’s Got Talent, Chrisley Knows Best, The Little Couple, I Can Do That, Rizzoli & Isles, Stitchers, Junk Food Flip, Chopped, Clipped, Royal Pains, & Scream.

underthedome2015smallTonight, Under the Dome returns for another season of craziness with a special 2-hour premiere. When we last left off, the dome was contracting and all of those inside were anxiously looking for some way out. The townsfolk had descended into the crater and followed a path marked by a monarch butterfly. Back on the surface, Pauline was in pain, and Rebecca agreed to assist her with her suicide. However, when Big Jim discovered this, he went off the rails, picked up a hammer, and killed Rebecca with a single blow. He then threatened the dome that if it didn’t bring Pauline back to life, he would start killing all of those with a special bond to it.

When the dome (obviously) didn’t respond, Big Jim headed off to Andrea’s, where he held her at gunpoint as Julia tried to reason with him. But he shot Andrea in the head and then went after Julia, who was able to escape by stabbing Big Jim in the foot. Junior had a stand-off with his father and managed to shoot him in the shoulder. Back in the crater, Barbie was leading the townspeople down the path when they hit a dead end. He touched the wall, and it started to glow, and Melanie appeared, telling the townsfolk to follow her back home.

Where are the townsfolk going — what is “home”? And what about those who weren’t able to cross the gap left by the earthquakes? What is their plan of escape? Will the quakes and dome contraction stop once these others leave? What will those left behind do with Big Jim? Will we ever get an answer to who or what put the dome over Chester’s Mill and why?

On tonight’s 2-hour premiere, “Move On/But I’m Not,” Chester’s Mill residents appear inside and outside the Dome following an evacuation into the tunnels beneath the town. Meanwhile, the Dome begins to reveal its ultimate agenda; and surprising alliances form as new residents emerge.

See what answers we get tonight on CBS at 9/8c.

I’ll also be watching/recording Big Brother, The Astronaut Wives Club, Rookie Blue, Hannibal, BOOM! , Wayward Pines, The Comedians, and Complications.

babydaddy610smallLast week’s summer premiere of Baby Daddy opened with Riley hiding out in New Jersey at her parents’ house, trying to avoid dealing with the Wheeler brothers. Ben tried to convince Riley they could still be friends and that she should move back to the city, but she told him she was contemplating relocating to Buffalo. Meanwhile, Evelyn, the woman who lived in the apartment across from Ben’s, passed away. Bonnie tried to impress Evelyn’s granddaughter Ashley in order to get the apartment listing and even resorted to pimping out Danny after she discovered Ashley was a fan. The two really hit it off and started dating. Back in Jersey, in a Say Anything-style move, Ben used Emma to convince Riley to come back — and she moved into the newly-vacated apartment.

This half of the season should bring some awkward moments, with Danny dating again and Riley now living right across the hall. Will these two ever get together? Will the show try to pair up Riley and Ben again? Or will we finally see Riley move on from the Wheelers and find a new guy?

On tonight’s episode, “It Takes a Village Idiot,” Emma’s babysitters feel unappreciated, so they go on strike, forcing Ben to bring Emma along on his dates and shifts at work. Meanwhile, Danny and Bonnie enroll in a cooking class with her favorite chef; and Tucker tells Riley to invent a fake boyfriend.

See how it goes with Emma at work and on dates with Ben on ABC Family at 8:30/7:30c.

I’ll also be watching/recording The Briefcase, Celebrity Wife Swap, MasterChef, and Melissa & Joey.

svu520smallTonight is the season finale of Law & Order: SVU, and it takes us back to previous episode(s) this season, which I kind of love. In one episode, police found children who’d been “adopted” (illegally) for child pornography. Olivia fell hard for a baby boy she found. The boy’s mother was a drug addict and prostitute who was then killed in a later episode. Olivia kept in contact with Noah and eventually fostered him and has now adopted him — even though she found out just beforehand that Noah’s father was the man behind a prostitution and sex trafficking ring. She asked Barba (who is one of my favorite characters on the show) if that knowledge had to come out at the time, and he said it had no bearing on the case she was talking about, so no. Unfortunately, it comes out tonight in what should be an emotional season finale.

On tonight’s episode, “Surrendering Noah,” Sgt. Benson and ADA Barba take Johnny D (guest star Charles Halford) to trial for sex trafficking, rape, assault, and kidnapping. But when Baby Noah’s adoption becomes entangled in the case, Benson fears for Noah’s future and his safety. In an intense courtroom showdown, the SVU will face a threat that could change the squad forever.

See what happens in court tonight on NBC at 9/8c.

thefollowing518smallTonight, after three seasons, The Following finally comes to an end with a special 2-hour series finale. Last week, it wasn’t really a good week for Mike. First he was kidnapped by Tom, who was going to trade him to Mark & Daisy in exchange for evidence they had against him. However, Mark & Daisy didn’t honor their deal and killed Tom. They were just about to kill Mark when Theo showed up and took him to use as bait to get his sister back from Ryan.

Things went sour at the meeting, and Theo and Penny made a run for it, but Ryan shot and killed Penny. Afterwards, Theo and Daisy managed to drive away. Meanwhile, Mike and Max were in the parking garage, and Mike told Max he loved her. Mark showed up and stabbed Mike repeatedly in the back before Max could pull out her gun and shot Mark in the head.

Theo is going to be focused on getting revenge on Ryan for the death of his sister. How will this final showdown play out? Did the series creators suspect this would be there final season? Will they kill off Mike, or will he and Max have a future together? Will we get a satisfying conclusion for Ryan Hardy? I’m looking forward to seeing how it all ends tonight!

On tonight’s episode, “Dead or Alive / The Reckoning,” as the FBI hunt for Theo intensifies and some of their own are attacked, suspicions mount, alliances crumble, and no one appears safe.

Catch the 2-hour series finale tonight on FOX at 8/7c.
